Hyatt aka Ha-chan. Excel Saga is one of my top 10 anime of all time, you have to appreciate a show that includes a voice acting performance so intense that it put an actor in the hospital.

My favorite Hyatt scene involves the love interest neighbor and a seemingly benign tomato juice drink.

I don't get this

It is a little bit vague, but I think the joke is that Chandra knows/hates that Jace is a mind reader and is working to condition him to stay out of her mind (by burning his eyebrows off every time he tries). Here she is teasing/tempting him to fall into a trap of admitting that he read her mind. He reads her mind and realizes that its a trap and blunders into admitting that he knows its a trap, presumably resulting in her burning his eyebrows off again. If I'm right, it would make a great running gag-type joke where you build up to this strip over time by having prior similar encounters between Jace and Chandra.

Edit: Poor Dovin... Heh, speaking of running gags, you could do a cross-over strip later on with Dovin at a bar in the Mass Effect universe (maybe he was planeswalking a little too far?) getting shot down by an Asari for similar reasons.
