I think that's the most likely outcome, Beast. I'll wait to reinstall until the update is actually released for the freshest file possible.

I try to end each night at 40, so tonight will be like any other night. Just hopefully don't go on one of those losing streaks that keeps me up late trying to recover from it.

I ended at 40 on Sunday evening, so I think I'm good not to play until AER drops. I usually skip a few days if I'm not missing any quests.

It's kind of dumb to even care about, especially since I blew it most previous seasons. Apparently I didn't even play VS mode during Origins, because that's at level 0. I guess I just grinded AI for a loooong time to get a card pool.

Nah, Stainless just **** up and accidentally put most (if not all) of our Origins ratings to 0 after one of the updates.

I played a few matches to clear my vs quests yesterday (wanted a clear slate in case update wipes quests). Wasn't too worried about dropping rank and having to spend extra time climbing back, because I play on xbone and competition... isn't always fierce...

Prob won't play online anymore until update is complete, if update isn't already in progress when I jump on next. Just don't want to get caught with my pants down.

Edit: Damn, just realized my timing is off and release isn't until tomorrow... sonofabitch. I'll prob play online tonight if I have any relevant quests to clear. Xbone DGAF.

It is always nice to have 40 at the end I guess, but avoiding any games just to finish 40, sounds rather useless to me...or is there any benefit (gold)
if you finish at 40? Or more generally asked, is there any use of having a specific season rank?

I am not even worried if I'm rank 40 or 30 at the end of season. I played yesterday 3 games lost 2 won 2. I'm probably rank 39 right now but I really don't care if I'm not 40 at the end.

I did the bounties on my account and my wife's last night.. she's got 14k+, and I'm at 29k.. both rank 40 and holding. I didn't lose any matches.. even though I got matched up vs all high ranked players going full tryhard, except for one of them. Actually ran into a mono-red haste deck which was quite a challenge for my Esper controll (had the win two games with Blue/White cards bounty). Kinda wanted to copy his list... but, you know.. DLC today.

This is why i sit on my rank, servers just went down now on Steam - That seems earlier then normal right?

I am as well. The Community Support team hasn't put out a time for the patch notes release yet. I would suspect it will be prior to official launch, quite possibly by about noon PST. Nothing concrete yet though. I've shot the Community Team a message so I'll let you know what I get.

Usually 4pm GMT before Wizards articles all go live which is in 1 hour and Duels info often a bit later than the typical stuff I find so probably over a hour before patch notes come out.

Yeah this was me too. I went on last night, did the quests (I like Beast calling them bounties, i actually prefer that term for them i think), and thankfully hung onto rank 40 or I would have stayed up all night until i get the 40 back. The rank 0 from Origins still bothers me

My prediction for Hakeem:
Hakeem reinstalls game. The first time he launches the game it quits out saying, "MAGIC DUELS NEEDS AN UPDATE" and then starts downloading an update several gigs in size. Hakeem gets so frustrated that it didn't simply download the update with the install that he immediately cancels the download and deletes the game.

btw it probably goes without saying but i can't WAIT for the story mode
