Also quite a few unexpected colour fixing after spending time removing a lot of it? I suppose by now they must think it would be fine and none of it is on a 1/1.
They also added Druid of the Cowl which only adds green but is a common 2 mana ramp.

Between Trophy Mage and Whir, they want Blue to be the Combo color now, not the Control color.

Shame the cat beast didn't make it but people where already crazy about doing a Splinter Twin-esque crazy combo with it and Saheeli Rai, which could not only put people off in Duels but is also quite the tasty gameplay they'd want you to go get the "full game" for by picking up paper magic.
Would've been fun to get off those 4 turn wins with many cat clones though.

Well in Standard reflector mage, emrakul and copter have all just been banned so i wonder if they'll do something about them in duels? (would have thought they'd have mentioned in in the vid though)

I wasn't expecting the counterspells to make it, so I'm pleasantly surprised we got Baral. The good black stuff made it and that was all I really needed. I exhaled in relief when I saw Fatal Push in there.

I'm glad we have some of the utility artifacts that work for existing archetypes, some okay mana fixing and also a mana dork. Shame about Rishkar, though... RIP Elves, the Origins archetype that Stainless just doesn't like.

Also, I'm pleaseantly surprised by the inclusions. Looks like we got most of the cards I wanted to get.

I'm sad about the lack of Release the Gremlins. Being able to blow up 1 or 2 artifacts and make a couple tokens would have been very useful to red control decks.

I'm surprised they banned Copter instead of waiting to see if the cards in AER they specifically built up to combat it would level things out. Seems a bit too knee jerk in that regards, though Emrakul makes sense given it gets plopped out on turn 4 and wrecks everything.

I was thinking it would be Aetherworks Marvel, since there will undoubtedly be other Emrakul level fatties to cheat out in future sets. Surprised it was Reflector Mage that got the axe and not Spell Queller.

R&D's mistake was thinking Emrakul was in the same level as other fatties.

Yeah, getting Ulamog dropped on your face turn 4 doesn't feel much better than Emrakul, but at least that's about to rotate out.

The main card that surprises me got a ban is Reflector Mage. Sure, it's good; but have we seen any since 4 colour CoCo? (Except for UW Flash...)

@Duels: No Rishkar indeed makes me a sad panda. I was going through the list and was like "Yes! Yes! Yes!" ... unitil I was looking for Rishkar.

Other than that, it looks like we got pretty much all the pieces I wanted for Abzan Revolt! I'll probably post my ideas for that deck over in the Brewing section later.

Isn't it far more material that Reflector Mage got banned from Standard? We can run THREE of those, no? I don't think Copter will get banned cuz there's just 2 of them.

I wonder how strong WU will be getting.
