It'd be cool if that was the only way to reach his ultimate. Like all Bolas has are negative abilities, but make them all strong.

Yeah, use that +1 counter on agent sac idea with something like:

"Bolas: 7 Loyalty

-3: Destroy all creatures.
-4: Destroy all other PWs.
-8: Destroy all other permanents. You may gain life for each permanent destroyed this way, OR draw 3 cards."

Pretty boring design, but dominance over all the things is Bolas's schtick.

Bolas: 4 Loyalty.

-1: Destroy target Planeswalker.
-2: Destroy all creatures.
-5: Choose an opponent. Put all Planeswalkers and creatures in that opponent's graveyard into play under your control, then that opponent sacrifices all creatures and Planeswalkers he or she controls.

Not strictly related, but genius WotC spoils future stuff; then retracts (spoiler) stating to focus on packaging and not on stock art and names.

So...this would imply no Bolas until HoD?

They've done things like this before. Placed cards that either reference something in a future set (see Tarmogoyf spoiling Planeswalker Card Type this version: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/ ... eid=136142) or cards that support only specific strategies that won't be available until future sets (see Amrou Scout for Kithkin/Ally Tribal in Lorwyn)

Bounce didn't necessarily say they haven't done that before but HOD will be 2 sets after and would mean no Bolas in Amonket, though that would make sense since he is the main villain, just seems weird they would leave a set in between the Bolas boosting card and Bolas himself.
Maybe DI makes the new Bolas walker pretty extra powerful so they didn't want them together in standard for as long, so they put Bolas in HOD instead of Amonket? Would make sense, especially with the previous rotation I think which would make this one of the things not planned on the new-old fixed rotation.

Then again the tweet does says not to focus too much on the art of the packaging so they could've just used the art they had without spoiling the actual packaging art and maybe Bolas is actually in Amonket.
Maybe they'll pull some kind of twist and give us 2 Bolas Walkers back to back in the same block.

Note: It is worded differently to usual french when it comes to singular opponent so there's some confusion on targeting of the opponent with it or if it's just choose or maybe even all opponents (this one is least likely).
Essentially it says "votre adversaire" instead of the usual "L'adversaire ciblé", both single opponent really but it's "your opponent" vs "target opponent".

Doesn't seem worth the cost TBH. Are we really heading that deep into "Affinity" territory? Is Standard?

Way too expensive to be used as effective artifact hate.

The one thing this is really good for: It is basically a temporary Wrath of God against vehicles. However, as stated earlier, it is so expensive that I find it unlikely to be really useful. It doesn't prevent future artifacts from being played and has no way of protecting itself (which means a single Collective Effort or Appetite for the Unnatural could be a huge blowout)

I can see it being a sideboard card if your opponent is running vehicles or thopters, but other than that it's very situational.

Yeah. Seems even worse than single target stuff in duels since mass artifacts in duels is mostly creatures and typically thopters which gets taken out by normal boardwipes.

For one more you could play a Planar Cleansing. HINT HINT WotC....

I don't see it as a sideboard card against vehicles decks, too fast, but maybe against colossus decks or maybe panharmonicon or marvel decks. Don't like this card as it is, but maybe there will more other ways to gain value from this.

Maybe there's going to be something in the set that makes it easier to cast somehow? Otherwise that's definitely an expensive junk Rare that nobody will ever play.

Well the rumour mill is abound regarding Amonkhet being an enchantment focused set, with the "Masterpieces" being old enchantments. Makes sense if it's all about the plane's 5 Gods raising up champions to compete in their arena (sounds like auras etc). Maybe it's designed with that in mind since that set is back to back with KLD?
