It's fun, but it's single-player only, isn't it?

I'm getting back into Gwent and the open beta, basically just reached level 10 and the competitive ranks (only 2-1 in competitive so far).

But it's really fun. I love the changes and the nerfs. It makes the races feel pretty well-balanced (except Elves, which are terrible).

And for a fun card game that is nothing like MtG whatsoever, Race for the Galaxy is on steam. That's a card game about building a tableau, more akin to a board game, but it's a blast to play and fairly easy to pick up.

Eternal card game on steam and android. If i'm correct it has been made or at least tested by some mtg pros. It's basically mtg meets heart stone. It has instant effect and grave etc but it looks like hs. It's also in beta phase and second set is coming really soon (they are running events where u can get the boosters already) and i have liked it so far.

Been trying out Eternal as well, like it better than Gwent thus far and while it doesn't quite have MTG's depth yet there is hell of a lot of potential.

Also, Race for the Galaxy on Steam? Hell yeah, have to search that up later.

Tried playing some Gwent again and quickly stopped. They still have the modern-meets-vintage problem.

Will try Eternal next.

Of course Magic offers more complexity. What we're looking for here is a close alternative. Spellweaver has the most complexity and depth among the games I've tried so far (others being Hearthstone and Eternal). Tried Hex but didn't let me play it. Just showed "Exception" when trying to connect.

I've been enjoying Shadowverse, kind of like a cheaper/more free Hearthstone with flashier graphics and anime style. Might also check out Eternal but I'm kind of bad at splitting time between games.

And Gwent has a massive rebalance today that massacres my deck.

Kinda gave up on Gwent, started off fun enough, but the games i'm getting are just a bloodbath, either i crush someone or they murder me, haven't really had a close game in a long while

Gwent has a massive rebalance every 3 weeks, that's old hat by now. Not sure what deck I'm going to start playing, I haven't even read the patch notes. Diablo III has consumed me since I picked up the Necromancer DLC.

As a diehard Diablo 2 guy, I'm intrigued by the necromancer but extremely disappointed by Diablo 3.

So I'm on the fence.

Diablo 2 defined my young life for a few years. I would get out of bed, sit down to do a Mephisto run, and then suddenly it's 12 hours later and I've neither eaten nor brushed my teeth.

With that said, I'm loving Diablo 3, what's your beef?

I want the Necromancer DLC, but I have Diablo 3 for my PS3 which isn't getting it. Maybe I should buy it all over again for Windows?

Art style, plot, oversimplification of weapons/damage, oversimplification of characters/builds/respecs

I'm in the same boat. That entire EXPANSION should have been DLC. I'd love to play the DLC but they pissed me off to much by asking for another $60 when I already paid $60 for the game. You're going to repackage and sell me what I already own 80% of? EEEEEFFFFFFFFFFF U

Same here. I waited until the expansion was on sale for $20. At least it was the price of an expansion by then. Weirdly all my characters transfered from regular D3, makes me dubious of their claims that they couldn't sell it as DLC because it was too different...

I'll probably buy a used version at GameStop so that Diablo gets none of my money. Kids are always wanting new 4-player games anyways.
