Actually both pieces were concise and well written. When each person could have called the other a dolt for their beliefs it didn't come to that.
I'm proud of my boys.

CONCISE?!?!

I think he was talking about you and sixty. One word posts are quite concise, not to mention they were quite well written. ;)

Don't eat the brownie, Shard! It's a trap!

Hey, thedevilwuster, have you ever listened to The Civil Wars' song Barton Hollow? It's been running through my head for a couple days now. Pretty cool song.

That and Ohio by Kingswood. (Or maybe it's called Ohio Man, my memory eludes me like a buttery carp.)

I like Barton Hollow. It feels like something from a Tarantino soundtrack. The World Ender by Lord Huron has a different sound but feels similar, like they should both be on the same playlist.

Ohio reminds me a bit of Kaleo's No Good.

Just finished RE7 Biohazard this weekend.

What an amazing game! The horror elements are supurb, better than any horror game I've played before. It's not just a bunch of Jump Scares either, there is a foreboding creepiness present throughout almost every area that you play through. At one point, while traversing through a cave, I stumble upon a flooded room in which the reflection on the water makes it impossible to see into creating a constant sense that something is down there with my legs and feet and could jump out at any time, but there's also this creepy whistling/humming from the stories Antagonist. It gives you the sense that you're being watched, and what's worse, the whistling/humming abruptly stops when you walk out of the water, almost too suddenly it stops, leaving you in a silent cave again. I'm not sure what's worse, the whistling or the silence. In one of the opening areas you'll find a cooking pot, which, when you remove the lid, explodes with roaches and who knows what else, and a fridge that's so caked with god knows what substance that is, that when you open the door, the ick stretches out with the door like half melted cheese. Just, "ICK."

The inventory management is REAL. Again. With previous versions you could just visit the store inbetween levels and buy a new gun or upgrade old ones, and BAM, more ammo. Not in RE7. Sure, you have the ability to "craft" more ammo, but that requires regents that could be used for Healing Pots. Do you want more ammo to kill things quicker, or do you want health because you can't kill things before they damage you? Tough decision most of the times. You do eventually get Backpacks that upgrade your inventory, but it's never really enough. You'll have to carry multiple weapons because you'll never have enough of 1 type of ammo to get through an entire area. Most guns, besides the pistol, take up 2 inventory slots so you're going to start running out of room real quick. More than once did I have to go back to the Safe Room to get things out of my Box.

The Boss fights are many and frequent. This is a good thing as it breaks up the monotony of the basic zombie fights. Outside of the boss fights, there's really only 3 types of zombies with one of those types having slight variations. The Boss Fights are where it's at though. Each one is unique, fulfilling and rewarding in and of itself just through the satisfaction of "I just killed that **** myself." The first time through several of the fights took multiple play throughs to really get down. Some of them are rhythm based fights, some positional based fights and some are hard-to-hit-moving-target based so there's a good mix of formats.

It's good to see they decided to get back to their roots of RE1 with the element of Puzzles and keeping things locked behind doors that you need to find certain keys for. It's not as prevalent as it was in RE1 but it's there. Once you get past the first half of the game, the puzzles kind of fall off a cliff. There's a couple but nothing near the level of RE1. Still better than the last couple, which were basically 3rd person zombie shooters and not really Horror Games.

Once you beat the game you unlock a new mode "Madhouse" which seems to be the Hard Mode. Can't wait to delve into that. You also unlock a gun that's waiting for you in your Box once you get to the first Safe Room. I haven't gotten into playing a second time so I can't give a review on the gun or Madhouse yet. I'm probably going to play through on Normal mode to make a few different decisions than I did the first play through but then I'll get into Madhouse.

9/10

Just why Alonso would skip Monaco for Indy I don't know but it brings Button out of "retirement" for a race with McLaren and that is a good thing in my book. Too bad Honda can't supply them with a decent engine. Wasn't that way in the Braun era, so why now?

I don't particularly like Fernando, but he's my read on the situation.

Because he's a **** world class driver with World Championship pedigree and his team seems like they just don't give a **** about the car he's driving. His car DNFed the first, what, 4 races? Or did it DNF 3 and DNS 1? I can't remember exactly. I'd be pissed and looking for anything else I could do to distract myself too. Why would he want to go to Monaco outside of the fact that "It's Monoco?" He's just going to get embarrassed, only this time in front of ALL of his friends and acquaintances.

On the other hand, he can go be in a one off race in the Indy 500. He's obviously looking for ways out of his current situation, and what better solution than jumping ship to another organization. I don't know that it will fully come to that but he's certainly got to leave his options open. I know that if I was a race car driver, I'd do anything I could to be involved in the Indy 500 at least once. Fernando sees this as his best chance to do that while leaving the impact to his F1 career at an absolute minimum.

I mean, what's he got to lose? The 0 points he was going to get for another DNF? HA His reputation? Probably not. Respect? Highly unlikely. His current contract? I doubt he cares.

The more I thought about it the more I concur. My first thought is No Monaco of course but yah, he really has nothing to lose.
Hell, Montoya made a good decision getting out before Williams and BMW parted ways

My two-year-old daughter just asked me not to "go like a big donkey". I'm not sure what she meant since I'm just sitting here drinking coffee, but she seemed very concerned.

Pfft! She's not the boss of me. I'll go like a big donkey if I feel like it.

I would argue against that statement, but evidence to the contrary is irrefutable. Mostly, I'm just upset that I was outwitted by a 2-year-old.
