Can't agree with the cutting of Drana -
Because Born of Flame is my favorite deck, I tend to rank cards by how good they are in that specific matchup. My build uses all four copies of
Chandra's Outrage, which makes me shy away from spending too much mana on 4-toughness creatures that don't have enters/leaves play value.
Lord of Extinction has some minor limitations of its own (can sometimes be a 0/0, can sometimes be too big to sac to Greater Good), so I tried 1 of each(Lord/Drana), and it seems to work well.
...
Rogue's Gallery. The worst deck in the game. I basically gave up trying to get this deck to work and then modded my local files to have 4 copies of
Baleful Strix, trying to make something remotely functional. However, I noticed that there were some times when the deck was capable of doing its thing even if it didn't draw any of the strixes, so I reset my files and tried the following list:
Land(24)11 x
Swamp10 x

Soul ManipulationIt's... just okay, but at least it isn't frustrating. It's okay in the way that it makes you feel like you're actually playing the game instead of just getting steamrolled by everything else all day long.
I'm not a fan of most of the cards in this deck, or the general themes available to it. "Jump through hoops to draw more mediocre nonsense" barely works at Prereleases. But this list seems capable of preying on the slower decks that expect to be able to block.
Infiltrate really earns its keep when it lands a 2 or more card swing off
Dimir Cutpurse or whatever you enchanted
Helm of the Ghastlord onto. Our removal is surprisingly high quality considering that it can't kill big things. But most of it is capable of 2-for-1's, which is actually pretty rare in this game. If you draw enough cards, make your opponent discard enough cards, and 2-for-1 their board enough times, you may be able to grind out some wins with this pile of useless trash.
