Everyone is either worried about vehicles.dec or superfriends.dec. Counters.dec is usually going to get run over by either but can be annoying to face if you are trying midrange, I imagine they have plenty of losses to those decks but will be strong vs anything else. Mill.dec is sitting in the corner hoping to not be noticed enough and will be an auto win vs most that are looking at the meta. It's paper rock scissors, unless a deck is diluted with answers for everything it's difficult to be ready for mill. The best deck plays a control resistant agro deck (vehicles/scrounger) and hopes it's fast enough to race any RDW/white weenie. Mill takes advantage of duels not having a sideboard.

The deck I hate to see the most is turbo fog mill. I can't stand those decks because they are hoping to run into creature decks and just lose to anything else. Even against creature decks they may run out of fogs or not find their combo, it's fun to troll people with I'm sure. I try to make sure I have some form of enchant removal in every deck because of those biastahds.

My thoughts exactly when I built my deck for the showdown. In the end, we'll see if I made a good call.

This basically. Fog / mill because it's very luck dependent (when I tried playing Tutelage, quite often I'd dig through half my deck without finding a single Tutelage; similarly playing against it is dependent on drawing enchantment hate). Counterspells because they are the fun police ... and tend to be effective against the decks I like to play, too. It's not that they're overpowered, there are ways to beat them, but they're annoying to play against.

So basically everyone hates something , which amounts to everything in the meta.
Superfriends hate copter and scrouger aggro players.
Aggro hate's creaturless.
creaturless hates mill/burn.
Midrange hates counterspells.

It isn't a problem in Duels since we only have, what, 8 cards that support it, but I HATE land destruction decks and discard decks. I **** hate it when ass holes destroy my resources. Sure, I wanted to play a 1-player game that I'm not involved in. That's why I spent money to enter this tournament, because I wanted to watch your deck play by itself.

Superfriends deck for me. Mainly a question of match up, my main deck is GBColorless eldrazi ramp, so the fact that there is no ruinous path type of spell available for black in duels makes the match up harder than it needs to be. Relying a lot on discard effects, ramping smashers, and rogue's passage to deal with them most of the time.

I still loathe Tutelage decks. Whenever an opponent drops it at three, can't help but blurt out "useless piece of shiet!" :) I'm ok with anything else.
