Beast just made me realize why I like it so much! Its my favorite card in Aether Revolt and probably one of the best cards in the set.

I think Rishkar's Expertise is an amazing 6-drop. It's already good if you have 2 power on the board (play a 5-drop and draw a card) and as soon as you have 3 power we're talking tacking Ancestral Recall onto your 5-drop. I get that everything beyond that might be excessive, but it's not a win-more card.
The only reason it's not in my Selesniya Ramp deck is because the deck has other high-value top-end finishers and not many 5-drops. If I play Golgari/GC it's very likely just in.

@topic: Thanks for your feedback on Kari's Expertise; I've ended up cutting it from my mono-red Aggro deck and so far am not missing it.

A rakdos sac deck will make good use of it. But I dont think they can work well against the meta. Too many token generators and vehicles.

Green expertise is a card when you look at it or sometimes use it you think wow awesome but when you build a competitive tournament deck you won't put it in. I don't think I'd use it in any kind of deck. A 6 drop, requires some board presence, doesn't interact opponent's board state, may or may not have a following 5 drop. Chandra's ignition is a better card to me, still people rarely play it.

I literally never build any deck that isn't tourney competitive and I have multiple decks that run 2x. It's excellent.

R.Expertise is amazeballs. If this card isn't refilling your hand and freecasting something sick when you play it, you're doing it wrong.

Well, it makes sense that BBB thinks RE is bad because of his control mindset--which is a good point because RE is not great against control, but it's potentially a very good card against other archetypes. The card definitely requires deck consistency, but I think the reward side of this card is higher than the risk side. It's been great for me so far.

Agreed, green expert is the best card in the expansion by a country mile for me so far. Playing and epic 5 drop plus at least 3 card draw for 6 mana is bad? I would say more than 50% of the time I am firing off a chandr's ignition for the best sweeper combo in magic. Blue expert is also good but green wins it for me.

I've drawn 5 off a big Nissa man land, drawn 5 off of a +1'd Gideon.... There are plenty of ways to stick a big body down long enough to absolutely wreck ****
