I can't view the duels released cards for crap on my phone (images too small, fuzzing out when I try to zoom in), and as a result I keep thinking of deck ideas using cards we didn't get...

I'm making this thread for bitching about that. Complaints have already been shared widely about Negate, but this thread is for the unsung heroes that didn't make the Duels cut. So please, come bitch with me on this bed of broken dreams.

3 cards I started deck build dreaming about only to have my hopes dashed so far are:

Aethergeode Miner. A 3 power creature for 2 mana that's slippery AF sounded fun. Cause headaches with blockers, draw tons of cards with Elemental Bond, lol at spot removal... Was thinking of ideas for inclusion in a Valor deck when I learned we didn't get it. /sadface

Restoration Specialist. As I anticipate artifact/enchantment hate to be more of a thing this season, I really wanted this guy to hate on the hate. Had a deck dreamed up that would feature Caught in the Brights and vehicles, and Specialist would pilot vehicles (like trample train) and smash them into things exiling Brights target, then sacing himself to fetch back the dead vehicles and Brights for more smashing and more exiling... I might feel as bad about not getting this guy as a Control Player feels about not getting Negate. Ok, maybe not quite that much, but still...

Lifecraft Awakening. Instant speed X buff that sticks around and can crush with trample train or even just give a clue a body to **** with. Hadn't gotten that far in deck dreaming with it, and I'm fully willing to accept it wouldn't even be good, but had started to mill around ideas before double checking and realizing we didn't even get it

We didn't get Rishkar himself tho, so ramp still a little bit sad

I believe that the decks nowadays are a bit too fast and there's too much removal and too few really great creatures to make ramp as good as it was during origins.

Everyone hated land destruction but I think Ulamog was the true villain of zendikar.

I am sad about not getting Indomitable Creativity and Release the Gremlins. I had envisioned an Artifact/Red deck somewhere along the lines of value artifacts like Inspiring Statuary and Implements, some efficient synergistic creatures (e.g. with Improvise), x-burn and sweepers.

Sigh!

I hear there was a Blue card we didn't get that a lot of us wanted, might be a rumor tough.

Allow me to dispel that myth. It is a rumor and nothing more, one should dismiss these tall tales and focus on reality. We shouldn't negate our dreams, but we have to keep ourselves rooted in reality.
