Lets just hate Land Destruction even more...

If you're talking about hating on land denial strategies (i.e., destroy all the lands!), then this is only slightly better than something like rampant growth or farseek.

If you're talking about hating on answers to utility lands, then this is usually worse than LftL.

Really, you're just complaining for the sake of complaining.

Considering they printed a red Armageddon for non-basics, I don't think they're hating on LD that much.

While I agree that this is hardly a response to beat LD (and would be the worst SB card ever). You could actually even argue that this would be good for LD and free mana accel/utility.

But I do think it's fair to say LD has been hated on by WotC.


As for the card, it's neat. I wonder if there is some kind of way to abuse this with a recurring cycle with Eternal Witness or Reclaim etc and some kind of nuke land/creature lock (that Ice Age land??)

I sorta agree with Thrulls assessment on Land Destruction. They nerfed it and it bugs me. But I like this card. It actually sorta goes hand in hand with LD.

Thats a neat land you have there... Lets blow it up, then take it. This the turn after that new red mass non-basic LD spell. Nice Temple of the False God. hehe

EDIT: Also that Opal Palace. How many +1/+1 counters can I put on my commander... like say Animar, Soul of Elements or Ghave, Guru of Spores or Prime Speaker Zegana.

It's certainly been hated on in recent sets, I meant that they didn't really hate on it in this "set".

LD hate is ridiculous and lame. I miss decent LD.

The fact we can't even have Stone Rain back (when Stone Rain was obviously not overpowered) is pitiful

that card is pretty rad

Actually I'd run this as my place holder in Modern Land Destruction, if it was only modern legal.

Maybe next year?
