Modern Horizons sets have become my favorites from a design perspective. Unbound from the constraints of a "normal" set, they really get to make a lot more creative, interesting, and fun stuff. I also enjoy the callbacks to older cards -- it feels like the closest we'll get to a modern Time Spiral for now.

All that said, I don't play Modern (or even that much Magic at all anymore) so these sets could be terrible from a gameplay perspective and I'd have no idea.

Modern horizons 1 felt like they had a more cohesive vision in design, but this one feels more like a top down flavor win.
