I wonder if all the equipment versions will have the immortality clause, letting you get a properly non-dying God if you have two copies (one to be a creature and the other to equip with).

Unless I miss my mark you can, but only because the God is the "Front" side. Withengar is still not able to be your Commander.

I wonder what this means about the DFC theme in this set. Will they all be equipment on one side? Possibly. Will they all be gods? That seems harder to do at lower rarities. Maybe they'll just all be legendary, since legendary uncommons aren't that unusual these days.

I suggested elsewhere that Gods may just be a race of people (the Skoti) here since the elves were previously the gods (rulers of the realms). We also have Demigods introduced in Theros.

I kind of doubt they'll all be Gods, but with mortal gods, that's easier to achieve. I expect the back will be Equipment and Vehicles, and maybe the occasional artifact creature (Gullinbursti?) to help with the equipment/vehicle theme seen on the dwarf-related cards so far.

I like that the design here simultaneously mitigates the downsides of both legendary cards and equipment. First, it's a legendary card that you can play two copies of before having to wait for one to die. Second, it's an equipment card that you can just play as a creature if there's nothing to attach it to.

If Zendikar's DFCs were all half land, maybe these will all be half creature? Seems like the most obvious option and a little disappointing, but it could be the link based on what we've seen.
I like legendary DFCs. It's a nice way to get around the legend rule.
