White one is a Cleric, when it enters the battlefield you gain 2 life.

In the past they didn't want to print these in case people mana screwed themselves, but I think making them spells on the front means new players will treat them as a nonland slot in their deck, so it usually won't hurt them to hold them back. They are also not too powerful on the front so that you don't feel bad about using them to escape mana screw or get a landfall trigger

Not sure if there will be more than 5 of these given that the red one is rare

They said on the stream that every booster will contain a modal DFC (including the "dual" lands), so I expect a fair amount of them. I think there's a rumored Censor variant, at least.

I wonder if these will enable a new sort of belcher deck. I kind of doubt it, but you never know.

I am not a huge fan of how these don't say you can play either side because it explicitly contradicts previous double-sided cards.

Although DFCs are superior to split frames, these could have been the first split permanent cards since you know by whether it's on the stack or on the battlefield which side it is. That said, since split cards get treated as one thing some of the times, that would have had weird rules issues possibly.

Two of these are creatures.

My mistake, I was still only thinking of the red one since that was the first one I saw.

I do wonder how they are going to deal with the rules for what the cards are in other zones. Other DFCs obviously have a front and back, but these don't (especially the ones with land on both sides). Which side can you tutor for?

In other zones, only the front-side is cared about.

The front side is the side with the single triangle and normal frame. The back side has two triangles and a darker frame with white text.

Black is Sorcery: Each opponent loses 4 life and you gain 4 life.

Red is Instant: ~ deals 1 damage to any target. If a permanent that was dealt damage this way dies this turn, exile it instead.

Green got some good ones here. Prey Upon, Regrowth, a mana dork. Those at least all feel like high limited picks for something that's also a land.

Emeria is very splashy. I wasn't expecting any lands that weren't "EtB tapped, T: Add C."
