They did a really good job with the flavor on this, every mechanic fits the reference to King Kong perfectly.

Wow a Green creature with an ETB fight and a way to become invincible. Because just ETB, destroy target creature is part of Green's pie. God I hate how much Green's pushing makes it hard for me to just go "Hee hoo freaking monkey" like I wanna

They did say they were gonna pull back on EtB fight in green, so I'm a little surprised to see this. But maybe that change is still in the pipeline?

I know it ain't but making a mistake multiple times makes it worse not better. It's weird I actually do like Green so you'd think I'd be more up on them being able to clear creatures without problem but it really rubs me the wrong way. Especially on things like this where it's like an even bigger Ravenous Chupacabra.

It also costs 8 and a bounce that has to be set up to pull it, much like the wolf doesn't generate its own food. It's good and a little fringe, but I don't think it's absurd or a true pie break.

No, but it's symptomatic of a larger problem with green as a whole having way too much efficiency. Like, you say
"it's 8" as if that's not on a curve where everyone else would be at 5.*

The problem really is that green's creatures are already busted efficient and a lot of mechanics end up being more efficient since "make it care about creature" is a pretty weaksauce drawback for green.

Also it’s a 7/6, being a 6 mana Ravenous Chup with a huge body without even needing to do the bounce is very possible. But also? A break that costs 10 is still a break and shows a problem in the design team.

Eh ... I somewhat agree that it is a color pie bleed/stretch, but only because the self bounce is reminiscent of white cards such as Kor Skyfisher, Whitemane Lion, Glinthawk, etc. EtB fighting should be the norm mechanically as fighting as removal is basically conditional card disadvantage and often over parity. I would rather it be slightly overcosted (i.e. a 2/2 etb fight vanilla for 3), but giving green its interaction tools on bodies would go a long way to making it more viable alone outisde of linear strategies.
