Such a great Achilles design. Looks fun. In terms of evaluating this, though, even for limited, there's a scary amount of RNG. Unless you roll a number that your opponent just doesn't have on the battlefield, this will just immediately trade with something, and most of the time it'll trade down. This might actually shine most in commander where 2/3/4 drop creatures are less common and you have more choices about who to attack. |

He’s unscarred cause he dies after taking any hit before it has a chance to scar up  For the protection clause, is it EVERY mana cost other than the one selected on ETB, or just the other 2 of 3 listed? Like will this always have protection against 1 CMC and 5(+) CMC? |

The Rules Manager also said that if there is no chosen number for any reason, it does not have any protection at all because the abilities are linked. |

I'm not seeing a rule in the "Linked Abilities" section that covers this sort of thing. I would've assumed it just had protection from everything in that circumstance. Edit: I found the original tweet, and a follow-up tweet refers to this rule, which I didn't find because it's in the "copying" section. Quote: 706.7a If an ability causes a player to “choose a [value]” and a second, linked ability refers to that choice, the second ability is the only ability that can refer to that choice. An object doesn’t “remember” that choice and use it for other abilities it may copy later. If an object copies an ability that refers to a choice, but either (a) doesn’t copy that ability’s linked ability or (b) does copy the linked ability but no choice is made for it, then the choice is considered to be “undefined.” If an ability refers to an undefined choice, that part of the ability won’t do anything. I presume the way we're gonna choose 2, 3, or 4 at random is to roll a die until we get a 2, 3, or 4? |

Or, on a standard d6, assign each of the numbers 1,5, and 6 to one of the target values. Then you only need to roll once. |

See that’s what I was contemplating. Because 12, 34, 56 makes the most sense when dividing three options on a D6. But I don’t like the fact that rolling a 4 wouldn’t choose 4 then |

Not sure whether immunity to Bolt, Path, and Push and being virtually unblockable makes him viable for constructed or if the lack of consistency preventing building around him counters that. Obviously a bomb for limited though. |

You can use mod arithmetic 2 & 5 = 2 3 & 6 = 3 4 & 1 = 4 |
