Would horsemanship actually have any impact? Presumably in limited it will just == flying. In standard I guess you can have horsemanship and flying together but doesn't seem meaningful. Of course they could print something insane with horsemanship but it would be no different from flying or unblockable.

If I remember correctly, their given reason for stopping using it was that it was just turning into flying 2.0.

Was there any point at which it was NOT flying 2.0?

No, they stopped using it because they never had any intent of using it outside of Portal: Three Kingdoms in the first place. They created it as an expy for flying in that one set because flying itself didn't make sense in the story of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Knowledge knows no bounds.

And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real.

Not quite worth a thread on its own yet, but I just saw some unattributed (to a card) art in today's article about 'Walkers.

Look familiar? It should. It would even make sense, in a way, for a reprint of the dragon-parts enchantment cycle. Sarkhan's homeworld is pretty devoid of dragons right now, but that doesn't mean that their legacy is forgotten.

EDIT: Two strikes against the cycle are Cycling on the Blue card and Fear on the Black one. Chances are still decent though that there may be a cleaned up version of this cycle in the wings.

Just to be sure, have you checked that it's not from the comics? The "blurry" art stile kinda reminds me of them.

I don't have access to them, so I have not. It is getting harder and harder these days to figure out if random unattributed art on the site is unspoiled card-art, from a comic, or just plain extra art that was saved just for an article. Wizards is getting more loose with their piles of unused art.

also they can't reprint the dragon parts unless the set has cycling.

See the edit: The Black one also has Fear. I had forgotten that they came out pre-Intimidate.

They said there would be five legends in M15. Avacyn and Ob Nixilis are old (but with new cards), while Jalira and Yisan are new. Who could the red legend be? Jaya? Rakka Mar? Tuktuk? Eron the Relentless?!

It looks like we're getting a new land cycle in Khans, based on the hints in he article revealing the painlands.

They seem to think we'll think it is bad at first, and we'll decide it's good later, like they think we thought/decided for the scrylands.

And I can't seem to think of what they would do along those lines... maybe someone else can think of something. The only things that they seem to be pretty clear about are that it's going to be a cycle of 10, and they seem to imply it will be dual-lands of some sort.

It's gotta be some flavor of Krenko, no? Would they have printed Krenko's Enforcer in a set without a Krenko?

Dunno if they'll reprint the Krenko we know or make a new one, but I expect the red legend will be a Krenko.

Fingers crossed for a reprint of Krenko. I swear if they do I'll play goblins in Standard.

Mob boss really seems to fit with tokens+convoke. I guess they could nerf it a little if they thought it would break standard?
