I don't understand why this is red. Red doesn't get enough draw effects for it to be useful.

Drawing multiple cards has been in Red's archetype drafts a lot, I believe. It gets some stuff like rummaging and such. In this set alone we have the Rummage Journey into a creature that Rummages for 2R and no tap as well as a common Instant Tormenting Voice. As well as its synergies with blue AND there is the Rakdos Knight that makes everyone pain draw on your upkeep, including you. There may also be a few cantrips but if so I forgot them.

Red is the only color other than blue that regularly gets recurring draw at common, through rummaging like Merchant of the Vale, Burning-Tree Vandal, etc. Red (and black) also gets common draw spells like Thrill of Possibility, Honor the God-Pharaoh, etc.

Also, blue-red is the "draw a second card" archetype in ELD.

Woah...black gets draw variants at common more than red does. Black gets a Sign in Blood variant at common in the preponderance of sets.

For what it's worth, red has 10 ways to draw a card (or more) at common in standard and black has 9, with red having 3 repeatable ones and black only having one.

"Card draw" has only been an archetype in Modern Horizons before this set as far as I am aware, in UR.
