Quite a few good cards in there. I'm partial to Blightning, Viscera Dragger and Blister Beetle. Canonist is probably the best card in the pack though, but the other picks leave a bit more wiggle room for our next packs. Viscera Dragger |

Thrash elder looks cute, but Viscera Dragger screams value to me. |

Thunder-Thrash Elder The only card with bomb potential in the pack. The rest is just business as usual. I mean, the best use for the Dragger is to sacrifice is to Elder. To put it another way: the rest is replaceable, Elder is not. |

Meh, I remember devour being a subpar mechanic where as cycling is always a good feature and the surprise factor of Unearth can win games. You don't normally play Dragger for 4. |

If the removal in the format is bad I would probably play the Elder, but since I don't know I'll go with the Dragger because it just looks like a ton of value on one card. |

Removal/bounce is very cheap and very "common" in every color in Alara Block. I'm not a "dies to removal" worryer and a 3mana 4/4 or 7/7 is very strong but it comes with inherent card disadvantage. Even an Unsummon destroys any tempo built during earlier turns. There is Mycoloth and a couple of dragons that are worth getting with devour, and they can repay you in card advantage or massive amounts of immediate damage. |

Devour is mostly bad, but this is the one devour card that can be good. All you need is two Goblins, and you're good for some bashing. And what does Dragger do? First it cycles, then it hits for three, and that's it. And it eats up your mana for two turns if you want to do it early. Might even get fogged with one half of Dragon Fodder. I like archetype cards, they give me a direction to draft towards. |

It'll be usefull basically anytime. Cycling is a very powerful mechanic and we should always have that in mind. |

Cruel Ultimatum Not very thrilled about it, but nothing else seems playable. Marauder or a Panorama, maybe? |

Esper panorama? EDIT: Cruel Ultimatum because I want to laugh at our mana base when we are done. |

I like Outrider. At worst it's a Hill Giant on offense. |

Fleshbag. It works great with Unearth and is usable without it. It's especially great post-Infest or similar, when enemy small creatures have all just died. Plus, being black like our pick 1, it keeps our options open between the black-including shards. |
