With the vintage masters draft coming to a conclusion I figured it would be fun to try out a triple Three Kingdoms draft like someone requested. Pack 1: Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed Flanking Troops Trip Wire Rockslide Ambush Young Wei Recruits Wielding the Green dragon Shu Grain Caravan Zodiac Rooster Wei Strike Force Yellow Scarves Troops Straw Soldiers Shu Cavalry Wu Elite Cavalry Spring of Eternal Peace Shu Foot Soldiers |

I have no idea how to draft this set, but I would probably just windmill slam Xiahou Dun and call it a day. Nothing else looks remotely exciting. Other options are as follows in my opinion. Shu Cavalry is Wind Drake, which is always a solid pick, but maybe not worth a first pick (also Horsemanship seems more common than flying, which makes the evasion less powerful). Also, from the looks of this pack at the very least, 2 power dudes are really common, so maybe one of the 3 toughness dudes would be an option? Rockslide Ambush is also fine, but sort of shoehorns us into heavy red if we want it to reliably kill things. |

I'd almost want the 2/3 for 4 rather than 3/2 for 4, seeing as a lot of these guys seem to come with 2 power. If this isn't actually true and this pack just happens to be skewed that way, ignore me. |

I saw all the horsemanship dudes and assumed it was more common. |

I think the pick is between Riding the Dilu Horse and Corrupt Eunuchs. Eunuchs is your standard 2-for-1 removal, while I suspect the Aura-like effect of Riding the Dilu Horse might be better in a format with awful removal. I'm not gutsy enough to pick it over the safe removal though. Corrupt Eunuchs is my pick. |

Corrupt Eunuchs is a fine pick. It's safe, and there seems to be quite a bit of X/1 and X/2 dudes that just get shot down by this. Why does green get a pseudo-aura that grants flying, anyways? |
