Here's how it works. Each player chooses 3 different packs (without telling anyone, of course, that would ruin the fun. But write them down, you can't change your packs mid-draft.) Then, you "open" your first pack by going to drafts.in, making a 1 person draft with your chosen set as the first, then generating the pack. Write down the card you're picking in a notepad file or something, then write down the names of the other 14 cards and PM them to the next player down the line. Repeat until you take the last card from a pack, then open your next one, and DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION YOU'RE PASSING. Given that some people will check their PMs more frequently that others, you may end up with multiple packs waiting for your pick. If this is the case, look at the the oldest private message, which was the first pack passed to you, and make a decision on that before you read your other PMs. I can't really enforce this, so we're doing it on the honor system. At the end of the draft, we'll play 3 round swiss on cockatrice. If you don't have cockatrice, you can find it at http://www.woogerworks.com/.

Please only sign up if you will check your private messages AT LEAST every 2-3 days.

I don't think I can get people to play 7 rounds.

Should we choose packs trying to maximise our chances at winning or can we choose unsinergistic/weak packs?

You can choose whatever packs you want. This isn't the pro tour.

Sign me up, and thanks for organizing this. Games might be a problem since I'm on CET (Seattle +8), but hopefully we'll manage.

Still, how will you know if I decide to change my second pack halfway through the first one? I suggest we message you with our choices before the draft starts. But again, this is not the pro tour, so it may not matter.

Look, if you're willing to cheat in an online forum tournament, your self esteem probably needs the win more than mine does.

Hello World, are you in?

I'm in, but I think we need to improve this idea a little before starting. I think it needs some kind of in-thread interaction.

My four posts in the limited section definitely qualify me as an integral part of this community, so I would like to be in on this.

EDIT: Five! I'm basically Greven or something.

I'm in. Scheduling the games might be a challenge but I think since it's all for funzies we should pick match ups on availability. Would it make sense to have a small pool of "alternate" players who can sub for the matches? Seems better than just dropping people.

We now have 10 people, so I'm closing signups. I will allow all 10 of you to participate, though, because this isn't the Pro Tour. The order is:
1: Cato
2: Zlehtnoba
3: Razorborne
4: Rstnme
5: Storyteller
6: Felbatista
7: Zenbitz
8: Ace of Moxes
9: Shazzeh
10: Hakeem

Start by passing the person below you on the list. For example, player 1 passes to player 2, player 2 passes to player 3, and player 10 passes to player 1. Let's Go!

I managed somehow to get the card from the site into a notepad, and I've made my first two picks. It would be nice if you all were to use deck tags - makes the picks much easier, when you have more than 13000 cards to choose from.

I didn't even know deck tags worked in PMs. Thanks for teaching me something.
