I think white is your strongest colour by some margin but I prefer your green blue build so I am guessing you went with that. I also think red is your weakest colour apart from the 3 prime removal spells. I think your green/blue deck is running too many lands you have 3 accelerators so I would have played 16 land. I also would have played aqueous form as it wins stalled games. I would have played Omenspeaker over Archetype but otherwise I think that's the deck I play. |

That UG build looks hella fun. I would never go to 16 land in a deck that has a curve topping out at 8, particularly one running the thief. Thassa's Ire + Constellation + Prophet of K is some epic shenanigans. |

Yeah, I played the Simic deck and it was great fun, though I don't think I'd risk playing this with 16 land. There were a couple of cool interactions that came up in my games yesterday, so I'll list the ones I found: Voyaging Satyr or Kiora's Follower plus Market Festival equals a lot of mana. Retraction Helix or Thassa's Ire plus Daring Thief equals steal their voltron. Daring Thief plus Scourge of Fleets equals bounce their board back to my hand. Daring Thief plus Market Festival, Bestowed Leafcrown Dryad, or Bestowed Spirespine equals steal one of their enchantments for free! Prophet of Kruphix was the real star of the show, though. I twice flashed in Scourge of Fleets in my opponent's end step to bounce his board and alpha when I untapped, and I once flashed in an Archetype of Endurance to blank my opponent's removal and force him to skip his combat step as a result. |

What happened to extort and bloodrush?? |

I guess he does have 2 inspired guys... My only problem with the UG deck is that without prophet or kraken it does nothing. But for sealed it's probably good. I actually like the RW deck too... bouncing Fanatic of Mogis!!! (It took me 3 read throughs to realize what skybind was doing in your deck) |

Skybind is also decent with Stoneshock Giant if the first activation didn't get you lethal. It can also reset a 3/3 Pharagax Giant into a 5/5 in corner cases. Reusing Supply Line Cranes EtB is good, too. But yes, Fanatic of Mogis is the primary blink target. About the Simic deck, I won one game by Bestowing Spirespine onto Agent of Horizons and bashing, so it wasn't as one-dimensional as you think. The real power of the deck was the pair of Sigiled Starfish; free Scry in Limited is pretty powerful. |

This time, I guessed right that you went with UG. RW seems a bit lacking, barring Skybind tricks. I'd play Aqueous Form over Thassa's Ire, Omenspeaker over a Sigiled Starfish, Godhunter Octopus[card] over [card]Archetype of Endurance. This makes the deck a lot less mana-hungry, and you could afford not to play Market Festival, making room for Fate Foretold. Form over Ire: both can repeteadly enable the Thief, but Form is cheaper, pushes damage, and is good without the Thief too. Omenspeaker over Starfish: Omenspeaker scries at once and always. It also stops various Pikers. Fish must live to scry (OK, that much more probable in Sealed). Octopus over Archetype: just the curve. And congrats on the win. |

Thasa's Ire was one of my best-performing cards of the day; since I could generate so much mana, I was able to really make use of it by tapping their best dudes (plural) before their combat step. Sigiled Starfish was amazing as well because of the consistency it provided; once I had my manabase, scrying ensured that I would almost always draw gas. Really, really great card for Sealed. I played Market Festival for two reasons; ramp and synergy with Daring Thief. I could donate the enchantment to them and take one of their enchantments for free! I did it once, nabbing my opponent's Courser of Kruphix. I could definitely see not playing Archetype, but I'm not sure about Godhunter Octopus. I didn't play it, so who knows, but it doesn't seem like a very good card at all to me. Fate foretold was a late cut for me, so perhaps running that over Archetype could have been okay. All in all, my deck was extremely consistent because of the Sigiled Starfish; try them, you'll like them! |

Octopus isn't playable is it? But neither is Archetype of Endurance. Maybe play both omenspeaker and starfish? |

Archetype isn't playable because of its cost, but I could usually afford to pay for it so why not jam it in there. I think Octopus is just straight unplayable, though. |

Post subject: | Re: JOU Prerelease |
Hm, was hexproof that important? You have a point about Ire. All that mana should be used. But I'd still play Aqueous Form. This debate shows that Form over Archetype might be right. BTW, no telling what I would do playing that pool. I might botch the build big time. It's one thing to debate pros and cons of a deck and change a few cards around with all the time in the world, quite another to build a deck at the prerelease. |

To me, the card was a 6/5 with upside. I knew I could make a lot of mana, so why not include another big dude? Aqueous Form probably should have been maindeck. |

I think Form seems bad here. Archetype shuts down decks, and becomes a blowout with prophet. What else do you want? This is the perfect deck to be greedy, you know? |

Eh, keeping prophet alive is pretty boss. I'll allow it. |

OK OK I get it. And somewhere in there, beneath Spike's heel, my inner Timmy is delighted. It's a cool deck, and it definitely gave me something to think about. Thanks for posting it. |
