This pack seems weak to me. Weaver is a decent dude, but two colors, so not really worth first picking. Spirespine also seems good, but at the same time, he HAS to block. So he will probably die to a 1 or 2 cmc guy. Hour of Need ain't that great unless you can put a bunch of dudes on the field, and it isn't an instant. Day of Dragons it ain't. Oh wait, it IS an instant. It is a little better now. I still the think the pick is Spirespine, or the green 6 CMC guy that gives tramps. |

Hour of Need It's removal. And an instant. A game-ender. And as the simplest use, you curve out with some early attackers, and then trade them for big flying beats that surprise block his attack, and then kill the opponent. The two green beasts are both nice; Spine should be bestowed, and in a pinch, you can even use it to block. Cranes are great, and constellation killed me a few times so far. |

Where have you been playing Journey? My pick is the New City of Brass. Mana fixing is always good. |

Fellhide Petrifier. In this block we can easily snatch up enough other taurs. |

I would take War-Wing Siren just to stay on colour rather than immediately jump into black although I do think Petrifier is a stronger card (but obviously much better in ) |

Petrifier. We have one card. We don't have a color yet. |

War-Wing Siren Just on card power, not on color committment. As I said, I love heroes. But if you love Taurs, go fo it! I've been playing JINX in online closed beta. It's a special format, so I don't get pick order or deckbuilding experience, but I see the cards in action, and so far constellation has been better than it looks. |

Don't think of petrifier as a minotaur tribal card, think of it as a Giant Scorpion with an extra point of power and random upside. |

I have been testing hour of need in standard and it's a win con. So that was a fine pick. I like the flying hero over dT taur. |

Urg, both are tempting. I think I'm going with War-Wing Siren for now. |

A blue Wingsteed Rider? Well, I guess I won't be drafting JOU much. |

I actually enjoy Jou quite a bit. Pillow fort is fun. |

Siren for me. |

But this is in block. We can easily scoop up several playable taurs in both theroes and born. Plus journey has that spell that makes 2 taurs, and the trample taur lord. And as was pointed out, worst case he's a 2/3 deathtouch which is completely playable. |

Maybe it's just me but I love me some War-Wing Siren. My second choice is Bloodcrazed Hoplite. |

A 2/3 deathtouch may be playable, but a 1/3 flying blue hero is more than that. It's a beating. |
