This message is primarily directed at Zenbitz but I also wanted to judge other people's opinion as well.

I like commenting and rating cards. I think for certain cards it makes for an interesting discussion as to both the card itself and the format more widely. However, I simply don't have time to review 8 or 9 cards and comment on them every day. In the old forum CG would put up 2 a day and while I am not saying that this is the right number I think there could be a happy medium. We will easily get through all the cards before the new set goes up so would it be possible either (or both):

(a) not have DLCR's for a few days so that I (and perhaps others) can catch up
(b) reduce the number of cards posted each day?

Thanks

Falcon

Certainly it's easier for me to do them in small batches. I guess there is not much difference between 3-5 per batch.
I am just happy people read them.

I think I have 35 cards left in BNG. I am on vacation next week so probably won't post. I guess that's like 1/day in April to get them all done for the pre-release of Journey to Nyx.

Would you rather I did something like 7 week all at once or 2-3x a week 2-3 cards each?

I suppose it doesn't make sense to even start on Journey into Nyx until we've had a couple drafts to actually play the cards (there is a speculation board for when the cards are spoiled).

It's easier if you do them at a steady rate, so that I can read them even when I don't have much time for the forums. I haven't done much BNG drafting, so I only post when I find a reason to disagree. Mostly I find I don't have anything to add to what you wrote.

After the prerelease is fine for Journey. Gives us time to read the spoilers, maybe play a sealed.

jeeze now I am all self conscious about posting more. How about once a week (somewhere in the Fri-Mon range) I just post 7?

I think the DLCR threads are useful but I think they might be harmful in how they have pushed other threads from the first page and only allow a few topics in the forum to survive. The inherit nature of having a thread for each card causes this to happen. Perhaps we could create a subsection for just DLCR threads so you could make as many as you want and it would allow other topics to live on the first page. Also, it might be better to space them out, as suggested by other users, so there aren't so many of them at a time. Maybe one per day instead of a bunch all at once.

The subforum sounds like a nice idea. Would it be possible to make a subforum for each expansion? I admit I'm a bit fanatic about order, but that would make it easier to find my mistakes later on.

Regardless of whether you make a single subforum or multiples, I think it would be a good idea to start the new organization when Zen starts the threads for Journey.

Edit: Zen, I understand you don't feel like making up the threads each day, but maybe you could prepare the posts in advance, and then just publish them one per day? Or, if you wish, I could help, and we could alternate making them?

I'll try 1/day this week. Pretty sure a mod will need to make a sub-forum. If we don't need/want subforums per set I coudl put [JNX] in the header...

Alphabetical the best? BNG I did mostly alphabetical but I put some difficult cards in early so that they would get rated while still drafted...

I think that making a subforum for each set might be excessive but we could make a catalog thread for each set in which all cards are linked in there. I can also enable thread icons for the DCLR subforum, like how it is in the spoiler room, so you can denote the set by expansion symbol rather than putting a tag in the topic post. If there is a subforum then you can post as many as you want all at once.

Let me know and I can get to work on this.

I have created the "Card Evaluations" subforum for limited and am currently in the process of moving all of the threads. From now on all threads should be created in that area. I have also turned on thread icons, like in the Spoiler Room, so you can use those to show what set the card is in.

On top of this I have some plans on getting more posting in the Limited forum as a whole so please watch out for that!

Thank you,
Slobad.

K thanks. Do people like 1/day alphabetical? I could organize it by rarity or cmc or something else...

Alphabetical, one per day, is just fine. And I like the way you sometimes group the cycles, like you did for the Archetypes in BONG.

I agree with Zleh - grouping cycles is interesting as they often are ranked in comparability to each other.

Yeah, I thought the cycles was good... I guess I will have to figure out the image hotlink to gatherer.
