So after a glance at my pool I really wanted to go BR, but that was unrealistic. GW was better, but kinda eh. So I ended up playing UB, which I had never played in Sealed before. I can't be bothered to type up the whole pool, but my deck was:
1 x
Exultant Cultist1 x
Docent of Perfection1 x
Curious Homunculus1 x
Enlightened Maniac1 x
Reckless Scholar1 x
Fogwalker1 x
Tattered Haunter1 x
Catalog1 x
Scour the Laboratory1 x
Displace1 x
Confirm Suspicions1 x
Fortune's Favor1 x
Sleep Paralysis1 x
Wailing Ghoul1 x
Ghoulcaller's Accomplice1 x
Rottenheart Ghoul1 x
Cryptbreaker1 x
Borrowed Malevolence1 x
Certain Death1 x
Whispers of Emrakul1 x
Ruthless Disposal1 x
Distended Mindbender1 x
Tamiyo's Journal1 x
Explosive Apparatus8 x
Island8 x
SwampBeat RW aggro 2:0 first round, then another RW aggro 2:1 in second. Made a really dumb misplay in the third round, completely overlooking the guy that taps to give a human +1/+1 and got steamrolled after that. Final round I beat a BR aggro deck 2:0. Did way better than I initially expected. Thoughts on individual cards:
Distended Mindbender is bonkers. Sacrificing a Rottenheart Ghoul to it on turn 5 was usually backbreaking.
I was really looking forward to Fortune's Favor, but I only drew it once all day and even then I had to pitch it to something.
1/3 for two mana is a great thing to have in this format. Both Wailing Ghoul and Fogwalker did serious work for me.
In retrospect I probably should've swapped out an Island for a Swamp. There was more than one occasion where I had to wait for the second swamp to emerge the Mindbender.
