EDIT: changed the thread title to make it a place to just discuss all Legacy Cube drafts, to prevent spawning many similar thread! So I noticed I had one hundered something Battle Points (or w/e they're called) in my MTGO account this morning and with a couple of hours to kill and the Holiday Cube being back on I decided to try a drafterino! This is my deck:
Spoiler
I felt my deck was insane and won the draft!! R1: vs mono black -> easy 2-0 R2: vs UG with maindeck Ainok Survivalist, Indrik Stomphowler and Trygon Predator (!!!). Still wasn't very close, beat them easy game 1 and 3 and lost game 2 to an overloaded Cyclonic Rift when I had them dead next turn by minusing Venser, the Sojourner and attacking with my Elspeth tokens. Finals: vs 5 color reanimator -> easy 2-0 I first picked Karn into Batterskull, and at the end of pack 1 I thought I was into 5 color green ramp, then in pack 2 I saw nothing but white cards and my deck looked really bad, until in pack 3 I was passed Treachery into Cryptic Command into Force of Will. 4Head |

Yeah, I just got my first Cube draft on, and I put together I decent reanimator deck, the threats are only medium, but the rest seems pretty solid. Game 1 was T1 Careful Study into T2 Exhume Grave Titan. |

Just went 2-1 with this:
Spoiler
Was fun, but the Attrition plan with tokens never panned out bc I played Aggro, Control, Control. (I usually assume there'll be some midrange decks.) Match One: 1-2 vs. Burn I was a little frazzled game 1 bc I had to change my daughter's diaper right at the beginning of the match. Eventually died to burn and Flametongue Kavu wiping up my board. Crushed game 2. Game 3 was fairly even, but I ended up drawing all my WW spells and never drew a single second W source the entire game. Womp. Match Two: 2-0 vs. UB Control Thalia is a good card. Match Three: 2-1 vs. American Control Lost game one to Keranos and board wipes. Game two I boarded out the top of my curve and aggro'd him out, finishing him off with Port targeting his City of Brass. Game three was the same plan, but this time I ported his second mountain (he was playing Anger of the Gods and Thundermaw) and I just beat him down with Bloodsoaked Champion as he countered my other threats. Eventually he killed Champion, but by then I had him down to 2, and I cast a Thalia to test for counterspells (he didn't cast any) and then cast Bloodghast for the win on his empty board.) This is Legacy cube, btw, not Holiday cube. Was kinda bummed to find that out Also posting in this thread bc I think consolidating format threads is smart. |

Re: your deck: it looks pretty solid, but it's the kind of think I don't think I will ever end up drafting. Too many cards of this kinda archetype look terrible without support and I tend to draft individually good cards from the start... btw what is American control? |

currently waiting for the finals of another single elimination cube draft to start! this is how the round 2 game ended. Can anyone guess why my opponents board position turn 9 looks like that?

2-1, 2-1, 3-0, 3-0 I love this cube. The 2-1s were BG agro reanimator with Vengevine and other self-reanimating dudes and BU reanimator with more control. Close games on the match loses with lots of Griselbrand action. The 3-0s were WUB tempo control with Thespian's Stage and Vampire Hexmage to combo out Dark Depths. Two Marit Lage wins. So awesome. The one I just did was RUb prowess with new Jace, GGuide, YPyromancer, Swiftspear, Snapcaster, Abbot, a million burn spells, plenty of incidental card draw, free-splashing mostly for Terminate and Recurring Nightmare. Too much fun. |

So I won the finals too, and am now 3-0, 3-0. This time I opened a really mediocre pack with no card I really liked, I clicked on the new 2 mana Jace creature/PW thinking it would reserve it and alt-tabbed, only to find that somehow MTFO had randomed into a Noble Hierarch for me. I figured it could be worse and just got green ramp cards.. this is the result:

Too many cards of this kinda archetype look terrible without support and I tend to draft individually good cards from the start... btw what is American control? Anger of the Gods, Day of Judgment, Counterspell, Mana Tithe, Dismiss, Dissolve, Glen Adra Archmage, Consecrated Sphinx, Keranos, Thundermaw Hellkite, some burn, some white 1v1 removal, and Keranos. Basically a bunch of sweepers and some wincons in blue, red, and white colors... I don't think it's very good, bc white and red have amazing aggro decks. I don't normally like WB-style decks either tbh, but I've only ever drafted the holiday cube, so I didn't know what kind of brokenness was available. There's almost a good reanimate deck here, but my reanimate targets were so mediocre in the matchups I never boarded into it. |

We have a paper cube (printed stuff), does it count? Cube draft is an absolute blast. |

Lost both games turn 4 to my opponent when the only spell they cast was Vampire Hexmage. Cube is awesome, but damn. |

I know this is sort of the whole point of this rendition, but reanimator is so damn good in this cube. |
