Complete Disregard Bone Splinters Kalastria Nightwatch Geyserfield Stalker Demon's Grasp Bunch of ingest cards that look OK and processors. They might just be straight up better than the 5 drops above. Kalastria Healer looks really good in allies but not good enough to pick highly. |

I'll echo that Top 5, but Black's commons are quite unimpressive. |

Bone Splinters Complete Disregard Altar's Reap Culling Drone Silent Skimmer As you can see, I'm counting on two things: there will be drones to sacrifice, and bears will not be irrelevant. That's way I don't expect the menace guy to be very dangerous. I think I'm going to like this set. I really can't tell, just from looking at commons, what will the good decks be. Which probably means, draft around the good uncommons/rares you open. Also, Allies seem to be at least three colors, so maybe they should be paired with converge? |

Demon's Grasp Silent Skimmer Skitterskin Swarn Surge Bone Splinters Black seems really weak without a way to reliably gain life, like Retreat to Hagra or Vampiric Rites. It is definitely the gimmick color of the set. |

1. Bone Splinters 2. Complete Disregard 3. Mortuary Mire 4. Demon's Grasp 5. Culling Drone I might be overvaluing Mire, but it looks insane to me. Choosing the last one was hard, the quality drops significantly. |

Kalastria healer - I've first picked it and won, and I've played against a deck that had 4 of them that used both the ally and the life gain synergy. Demons grasp - expensive but sometimes you really need to kill something. Swarm surge - I haven't actually seen it cast but with a big pile of scions it should be good. Bone Splinters - Yep Dutiful return - should be better than usual with giant eldrazi to recur |

I didn't realize Swarm Surge was a sorcery until recently. I like it a lot less now. |

Sludge Crawler is actually good. I actually haven't seen anyone able to play Stalker yet... there are a couple BR aggro cards. I think Silent Skimmer is better than stalker too, and at least as good as Nightwatch. You are going to have to main deck a copy of bone splinters unless you are in white I think. |

I've never played silent skimmer. A 4 mana angelic wall seems particularly bad in this format, so unless you're devoid aggro it has no place. |

It is a 4 mana 2/4 when it attacks. And there isn't much flying in the format, so having an Angelic wall is solid in a lot of decks. |

Skimmer won me a lot of games in the prerelease. 2 unblock able damage every turn is good in a format of 8 mana spells. |

Quote: And there isn't much flying in the format It has almost the same number of common & uncommon fliers as Origins (not counting the thopter generation). But it's certainly more IMPORTANT in this format. |

I think you guys are underrating Voracious Null. You don't want a lot of him, but the ability to go from wide to tall is often quite useful. |

Null I think looks bad because we had a season of Nantuko Husk. But I have yet to see someone really pull off a sacrifice deck. |
