This was an idea that miss_bun came up with which seemed to never really get off the ground, but should be pretty fun. The basic idea is a draft in which players take it in turns choosing any Vintage-legal card in the game, which is added to their card pool, provided that card hasn't been chosen by anyone else. For convenience, the card picks can take place on a Google spreadsheet (like this one: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... ySkE#gid=0) rather than in the thread. Players: 1. Cato 2. LilyStorm 3. purple shrimp 4. mr physics 5. Filobel 6. miss bun 7. tony3 8. Shadowchu Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... 5SGc#gid=0 Detailed rules: -Once eight players sign up, each of them will be randomly assigned a spot from 1 to 8 on the spreadsheet -The players take it in turns choosing any Vintage-legal card not already chosen to be added to their card pool, starting with player 1 through to player 8, then player 8 through to player 1. (This means that player 8 and player 1 will get to choose two cards in a row at most times.) -Once every player's pool contains 60 cards, they can start deck construction. Much like a normal draft, they can add any number of basic lands to their deck. Minimum deck size is 60 cards, and all unused cards go to the sideboard. -When all decks have been completed, we can play matches on Cockatrice or MWS to decide the winner of the draft. (maybe a round robin) |

What are we going to do to make sure it doesn't take ten years to do the draft? Even in fantasy football with 8 rounds (16 picks), and a 45 second time limit, it takes over an hour. |

I was envisioning it as being more of a "log on, notice that you've got a card to pick, pick a card" thing, rather than relying on everyone being online at the same time. I'm happy for it to progress very gradually |

I'm thinking it will take about a month and that is okay. |

This is going to literally take a year. |

I doubt we will go slower than one person picks one card a day. That's still only 240 days. |

And I'll be on virtually always during my awake hours, which means that my turn can basically be discounted as far as time goes, most of the time. |

Still in, but hopefully it won't take anywhere near that long. And what do we do if someone just disappears half way through? What if someone goes on vacation for a week? |

Lol this will go quickly. There will be times when it drags, but there will be times when everyone is on and we get five or ten rounds knocked out at once. |

As someone who rarely ever cubed and doesn't play vintage or legacy, this idea is both incredibly interesting and incredibly terrifying. I've been debating whether or not to join for a few days now. |

Just come up with a decent Highlander Vintage idea, map out the cards you'll go for with several other options if your initial ones get taken. It'll be fine. Go for it! ~SE++ |
