So, my first pick was a Topan Freeblade in a pack that was overall sad, with the rare being that 7/7 for 7. My second pick was a Iroas's Champion, passing a foil Llanowar Wastes, which was the point I decided I was not going to draft any rare I wasn't playing.

Which of course, meant I passed 5 pain lands, a Titan of Erebos, a Goblin Piledriver, and some other rare. But one of the pain lands tabled to be my 14th pick!!! And a 15th pick Hallowed Voices in pack 1!

And without further ado, my deck:
1 x Titan's Strength
1 x Topan Freeblade
1 x Subterranean Scout
1 x Consul's Lieutenant
3 x Cleric of the Forward Order
1 x Akroan Sergeant
2 x Stalwart Aven
2 x Boggart Brute
1 x Knight of the Pilgrim's Hand
1 x Thopter Engineer
1 x Blessed Spirits
1 x Iroas's Champion
1 x Flame Javelin
1 x Charging Griffin
4 x Supression Bonds
1 x Totem-Guide Hartebeest
1 x Prickleboar
9 x Plains
7 x Mountain

So I kind of just ran roughshod over everybody except my first round opponent, who had a turn two Undercity Troll on the play, and I kept a questionable hand, who was on green white, and ALSO had at least two supression bonds. Round two, I played against a green/red deck that featured that 4/4 trample rhino, and my third round opponent played blue/black "I only have seven creatures in my deck."

So, the reason I'm posting this:
1) How early would you take Suppression Bonds?
2) How many Suppression Bonds is too many?
3) What white cards, if any, would you take over Suppression Bonds?

Deck seems insane, but 9 3-drops is pretty funny. Probably would have played a tactician or something over knight.

1) I would take it in the upper half of the pack. 2nd-5th
2) 6 is probably too many outside of a very controlling enchantment deck.
3)

Rares: Kytheon flip walker, Kytheon's Irregulars, Tragic Arrogance, Archangel of the Tithes (assuming it's pack 1 or I am very heavy white already.
Uncommons: Sentinel of the Eternal Watch.

Knightly Valor is very close. P1 I probably take the valor, because bonds is common. If I have a Valor, I take the bonds and vice-versa.

Topan Freeblade/Relic Seeker/Patron of the Valiant/Consul's Lieutenant are all close. It's a weird set where 2 drops are comparable to premium removal.

Yeah, the Knight was my flex spot for sideboard cards.

I actually had the option to take the 4/4 angel and Valor over Bonds, and took bonds each time. But it wasn't an easy decision.

Friends were all in the "card is bad, wouldn't play more than 1" camp or the "5 is probably enough, but debatable" camp. There was no in-between for any of them.

If you are running a Hartebeast, I would want at least 2 good enchantments. Given a choice I would definitly take Knightly Valor and 4/4 angel over the _3_rd bonds.

Awesome. I like how you curve out, and then Bond their answer.

1) First-picking is definitely possible. Over the Freeblade in your pack, if it was there.
2) Three, unless it's the only removal in your deck.
3) Zen did a good job there, assuming it's p1p1. Later on, it depends. No commons, unless I already had two Bonds, and was severly lacking in two drops.

Yeah, curve out into bonds and then Hartebeast fetching bonds is good.

I was watching a Marshall Draft where he had
4x Unholy hunger
2x Cruel Revival
3-4 Fetid Imp

It really was too much 5mana kill it spells he went 2 of each i believe

Draws like land land land 3 unholy hungers would die to a curve out

on the bonds i feel like running 4 bonds means there is hardly any room for dudes left at the 4 spot. but still how do you not run 4 bonds?

would you run 25 timberpack wolfs

Of course. I mean, I guess you could simulate it, but you only lose to Tragic Arrogance or T4 Languish in a hand that couldn't keep 4 wolves in play on turn 4-5.
