what are we, black-green? lovely. Treefolk looks like it sucks, although it might be an ok topdeck once we've got conception going. but I wouldn't run it for that, and we're about to leave Shadowmoor so retrace goes bye-bye. there's four red cards here, which we should maybe take as a sign. but none of them are very good, so maybe not. the puca's good if you're in its colors, but we're not. even if we duck into red, we're still not going blue. Altar Golem is the one our colors allow, but it's not very good either.

I'm gonna say hedge bets on red being open, take the assailant. it's the best card in the pack besides maybe puca.

Penumbra Wurm is a big, scary, hard to deal with win condition. it costs 7 but this format is probs slow.

on the other hand, Urborg Elf provides mana in both our likely main colors.

the Kavu is interesting. on the one hand it's a sweeper and those are good, but on the other it's a 5-mana pyroclasm with a pretty unappealing second option (2/2 for 4? wooh.) so I think I'm ok passing it and committing back to green a bit. I'll say Wurm but I'm happy with Elf if that's where the crowd goes.
