Yeah, my Living End deck would have first picked Dismember, because that is pretty much the only card it would have to fight over besides shock lands.

My Living End deck didn't look very good though.

I dunno man, but it's the best removal spell ever printed it's not going late in round 2.
The Red drafter (Randy Buhler) in marshall's draft went bolt->guide. He also picked third. He got YP 11th but not sure in our draft ajunior wasn't looking to take it in 3 or 4.

And it's junior's pick

if I just edit the first post (to indicate who's turn it is) does that mark the topic with "new content"?

I'll post it (for the most part) if you'd like, I check it a couple of times a day. I am OCD about making people wait on me.

I don't mind posting but I think it's more useful at the top of page rather than an endless stream of "yugo" posts in the thread.
Maybe I am wrong though.

I'm interested by thatmarkguy's deck. What is the Flooded Strand for? Who knows?

I think Cato will end up with the best deck

I should really have taken a second color early. Both G and W are taken hard. I guess I can play like Phyrexian Obliterator and Geralf's Messenger?

Kind of a waste. With my playskill, I really don't need it.

There's method to my madness.

I took Noble Hierarch at 1 and Tarmogoyf at 2.

-Noble Hierarch provides mana support in GWU - I've been planning for a GWU deck at least in part since that take and more specifically since Inkmoth was taken and my plan B dissolved.
-One of the things that will make Tarmo bigger is lands in grave, so fetches help that (as well as providing fixing in my planned 3 colors)
-I see so many people dabbling in blue that blue duals are unlikely to last all that much longer (all four Blue fetches went in the first 9 rounds of the pros' draft). While most of the spells in the WU segments of my planned deck aren't exactly hotly contested, the lands probably won't still be available late if I don't take them early. And if my actively early-claiming WU duals chases others out of considering WU as a duo worth fighting for, all the more win for me later.

That is what I figured, although I thought you just wanted a white fetch and the blue one was the most likely to go quickly.

Nobody went for the mill deck, which makes me sad.

Some of us haven't even really shown what we're going for yet. The more niche a deck concept is the less the cards are likely to be contested and so the early picks aren't the cards that define how the deck will play, but are just the component parts that were at greatest risk of being taken by other people for their decks.

I took Sword of Body and Mind. In a format with 40 card decks, that's "Connect 3 times and you win by mill".

Rashad didn't even go for the mill deck in the pro version. His first round Glimpse was a decoy.

Rashad was a mill deck sometimes Mind Sculpt is useless for self mill. It was mostly just a bad deck that was easily hated. It did go off sometimes though.

Rashad made the mistake of not taking the Big 3 before mill cards

That's because some of us don't have any idea!

EDIT: UGH and it's my pick. I will do this tonight, i might actually have to commit to something besides 1/2 a color.
