I would like species in a lower-curve deck with lots of lynxes, but at the moment that's not us. Sadly it's mostly a 3 for 3/3 with a drawback unless someone's playing stab wound/oppressive rays/encrust

I'd take the Peel From Reality here. Those are a little harder to come by than the Pathmage, IMO.

Really? I feel like I see them slightly later in my meta. Like pathmage is a pick 5 and peel is a pick 7. Admittedly my meta baffles me sometimes...

I've prob done 7-8 drafts on mtgo and 2 in real life so I'm not the most experienced. But in my limited drafts that seems to be the case.

Pathmage is a good card though, I'm fine with it. I wouldn't argue if you said it's the better of the two.

We didn't get suckered, we read the signals. Peel is best in very aggressive decks, which we aren't.
