I'm going with Ambush, but the pack doesn't look great to me. I'm not a huge fan of ships in general and even though raft is probably the most likely to be good, I still have my doubts.

This looks like great value. Pester is an ability word, so you can probably get to the point where creature spells cost two or three mana more to cast. Also, black looks open.

Desecrator Corporal seems like a bit of a trap. It's fine as a bear, but you need a sacrifice outlet, and, ideally, some minions to throw away. Looks too complicated to bring off reliably.

I'm not sure about the power level of this set, but even with the discount, Ringpeak Ambush doesn't seem to do enough.

I agree with Demento, a fairly weak pack. But again, I haven't read the spoiler, just going by general drafting experience from recent sets.

Read again. Pester hits noncreature spells.

How come bats don't fly?
If it's a weak pack, do we want the mana fixing (uncharted waters)?
If it's between the combat trick and the raft, the raft seems good for an aggro deck and I'm not that impressed with being able to untap my dudes I guess?

Ups.

Wrong argument, right pick.

I feel like there will be plenty opportunity to pick up pester, and blue is looking like a good second color right now. We look to be picking an aggro-ish deck right now. Raft helps that plan and doesn't move into a second color.

Pester is nice, but I'd rather a pester card with more impact to be our first foray.

Ambush feels like it will have little impact. Instant +1/+1 is nice to push the last bit through (or trade), but pester is likely going to be a deck and pester kinda shuts it down, even if we get the discount. The vigilance is a bit lack-luster too. Raft seems to offer the same opportunity to push damage through, can trade, and is just as cheap.

Weak pack. I like Uncharted Waters to keep us open. We don't have an aggro deck with just 2 picks.

I think Draconem Summiteers is better enough than Lightkin Tacticians that we take it.

Draconem Summiteers

I want to take a nomad but this guy seems ridiculous.

I think if we were taking a nomad it'd be Avalanche over Tacticians, but I can see Summiteers. that would put us in Monk colors, which our Warleader supports. it makes our Macadam less good but pikers are still fine and we'll probably be packing at least a couple Nomads anyway.

that said, in a tribal set there's a lot of value to committing so you don't get screwed out of the synergy pieces you need so I'm gonna say Avalanche, but I wouldn't be unhappy about Summiteers.

Summiteers is the best card in the pack. I think it's still early to lock us into something.

What are the chances that Avalanche wheels? It's the best "on-tribe" card in the pack, I feel.

we see this back pick 12. that means there's only gonna be 3 cards left. my bet is Hybrid, one of the Ships, and Tactician.

You mean one aggro pick? Well, if we want to go aggro, let's pick

Flamekin Ketch

Either they commit a blocker, or they get hit for three. Which is not a bad deal, when you want to go aggro.
