Identity Thief flickers the other guy's creature and brings it back end of turn. It does not COPY it 'in-place'
So when you use it on a Bloodmad Vampire on it AND Choking Restraints

Then:
a) Yes you will get a thief with a +1/+1 counter when it hits.
b) Your Chocking Restraints will go to your graveyard.

I feel like we should just start a RTFC thread, cause some of the funny ones i read and post are about not reading card fully.

Mine is Skysovereign, Consul Flagship No it is notInferno Titan. No it doesn't deal damage to players. So to the guy I don't know who was salty because i didn't let you gain life from Appetite for the unnatural after i fizzled it with Æther tradewinds. Your salt was just cause I went cheatyface on you with the Flagship...Sorry

You probably made the same assumption I did when I was new with Magmaquake, which i what I get for learning Magic through Duels. they tell you straight up "your a Planeswalker"

---
Another one would be Torrential Gearhulk which doesn't mention Sorcery anywhere on the card. I lost a $5 dollar bet to a friend who said it didn't have Sorcery on it. I said I know it has Sorcery because my buddy Flashbacked a Hunt the Weak in a Solomon draft. and he's a good player, playing a long time. He wouldn't cheat me.. DAMIT I lost my Fleetwheel Cruiser and $5 Dollars on that RTFC

zomg. I did this JUST this weekend, Flashing back Tezzeret's Gambit. Even funnier, because I didn't put this in my pre-release sealed deck because I had ~0 good instants. (It's still good, but I didn't really like my blue).

I almost botched a game because I didn't realize Doorknocker had to attack to spend it's energy.

Not 100% in the spirit of the thread, since it wasn't my own mistake, but I've overhead multiple people assume that Aethertorch Renegade's last ability costs 6 energy to activate. Fun fact: It costs 8 energy!

As much as I love this set, they really should've made energy costs more readable.

That reminds me of an argument I had with someone over them displaying colorless mana with the new diamond symbol instead of a number. I still feel the number is the best system.

Pro tip, on scars block drafts don't assume there will be more artifact removal in the draft later.

Last night I was not adding the toughness from +1/+1 counters on my opponents dudes correctly. But it was a bad week.

This was a pretty epic punt.
I had lethal on board with an unblockable serpent. Opponent attacks me with Eddytrail Hawk and crewed (1st strike) Renegade Freighter. I have no fliers. I say "OK", he casts 2x Built To Last for lethal.

The vehicle didn't have flying. He didn't have any energy. He never said it had flying, I just assumed it did (it had the previous 2 turns) and didn't block because I thought I couldn't.

Then match 2 I got killed by MAIN DECK fog, in a game where I drew 6 extra cards (3 off of Red Gearhulk trigger, and 3 off of Tezzeret's Ambition).

I managed to get 6 Gonti, Lord of Luxury Triggers in a single game. And lose. My mistake was not taking the Fumigate with the first one. I was faced with a choice of: Fumigate, Revoke Privleges, Cloudblazer. My deck was basically 80% Glint-Sleeve Artisan and Aviary Mechanic.

I was way ahead, and figured a Revoke on his Dukhara Peafowl would get me though, and at the time, I figured Fumigate would be card disadvantage (putting on the bottom seemed good enough).

It was a very long game, but in the end I kept getting his permanent removal with Gonti (bounced it with 4 Aviary mechanics, Brought it back with Restoration Gearsmith, it died again, then flickered Gearsmith to bring it back a 6th time, but that was mostly for fun as I was dead on board to a couple fliers.

Been a while since there has been any traffic here. MTGS/Limited forum is also dead. Do I gotta join reddit?

ProTip: Fumigate is so good you can badly misplay it and still win.

I had one of the weakest 3-0/6-0 (rare enough) drafts last week. My deck was basically Fumigate, 2 Gearseeker Serpents and a Wispweaver Angel. Light on removal, heavy on air (2 prisms and an acrobatic manever), but decent blockers.

It was a 10-person pod and the Blink cards were split between myself, a 2nd UW drafter (beat in R1) and a BW drafter (beat in R3). Just for the trifecta I beat a RW deck in R2.

In each match I played Fumigate once and won each of the games. match 2 against RW I fired it off on turn 5 or 6 for a 3-for-1 when he had a freighter out and he never recovered (that's was good play).

The other two plays, I played it when I got ~behind in massive "Klassic Kaladesh Boardstalls". The upshot was that I gained 15-19 life. The bad mistake was that the first time I played it, he manage to select a 2/3 back to his hand, and he had Fabrication Module and a bunch of lands. I very nearly lost that game (went almost to time in G2) - because he topdecked gas and the 2 threats I was holding were barely enough.

The 2nd one was worse. I had 4 1/1 fliers, a 1/3 flier, and a 3/4 flier vs. his Skygate. He had 2 4/4s and a freighter, but I was winning the race. The correct play was just to bash in the air and chump, closing out the game in ~2 turns. Instead I fumigated for 19 and played a 1/3. He was holding back Master Tinkerer (by M3G2 he knew I had fumigate) which was a house. Again, I managed to barely out topdeck him for the game, match, and tourney.
