This is a tough one. I don't think we need another 2 drop or another 4 drop. We could replace a Bronze Sable with the Skimisher. The Shade is a mana dump for turns where we can't/don't need to play anything.

Oppressive Rays is probably the right pick, but maybe we hate the Thundering Giant?

Trying not to over-think I would probably just grab the Kinsbale Skirmisher. I can always go back and edit my vote if you guys make compelling arguments, right?

I want the Skirmisher. We want a lot of bodies on the field, and we want them to be white, for our Paragons. Plus, that EtB ability is surprisingly annoying, taking a creature from "not quite good enough to swing" to "Doing damage to the face."

The skirmisher's half- haste is rather effective in aggro ' ing out an opponent, but oppressive rays are a sorta better sorta worse crippling blight. I'd go with the skirmisher.

I wouldn't mind a shade but skirmisher is better

EDIT: I should also say that oppressive rays is probably the pick in a vacuum but we have "enough" removal and need dudes.

I was actually talking about the other way around, taking early Paragons makes your subsequent picks much easier, but I agree with you regardless.
