Smoke is cool and all, and with all our removal it'd be nice to just shoot whatever they untap. we want the game to go long so we can deploy all our dragons and angels, and as Shasta points out Lightning and Serra Angels both have the vigilance that goes so well with limited untapping. I'm really not happy passing a 4/3 for , but I think Smoke is good enough for us that it's worth it. the double red might be annoying to pull together early though.

Let's not disappear too far into Magical Christmasland here. Realistically, Oathsworn Giant is a 3/4 for 6 that we are very unlikely to draw with Smoke, and our deck is already heavy on high-cost things. I'd feel safer taking Youthful Knight as a roadblock.

Oathsworn ginat. The smoke interaction is awesome and cute, but the potential buff seems better. Honestly, its a far better 6 drop than personal incarnation, imo. Plus we have a fair amount of burn/roadblocks already.

I almost think the Rod is the pick, but I'm gonna go with Knight. Giant is cuter and scarier, but if we die before we hit 6 lands it doesn't really do much. and if we do but we don't have a lot of cheaper creatures for it to buff, it also doesn't do much.

I want the chaos orb. Having played with the blasted thing (ah, casual) it's basically a colorless vindicate that might, with some luck, clock a second permanent or more.
