Heir is obvious. Even if you don't want to go green, picking it up doesn't cost us anything we really want.
The next pack is tougher. Elegant Dovecatcher and Skyblot Cloud are both quite playable. It all comes down to how many cards we need to fill out our mostly red deck. If we need a lot then we'll have to fill out the deck with white cards and since dovecatcher is a pretty good white card that'd be the pick. If you think we can fill out most of the deck with good red cards, then our scarce but superior green cards fit the bill and we shouldn't pick any more white cards.
dovecatcher

If we take Cloud, it likely makes the deck regardless of whether we go white or green. So, for your evaluation to make sense, Dovecatcher would have to be clearly better than Cloud.

Heir + Cloud

I still believe our White is much better than our Green, though.

I thought Dovecatcher was better than Cloud. I wasn't certain it would make the deck if we went white.

Heir is fine. Cloud seems obvious...although Mournstone seems like it could do some good in the sideboard.

When you say it that way it sounds like some sort of special attack.

Charge is unplayable. At least Skiff has the benefit of the doubt since I have no idea if those ships are a thing or not.

Skiff seems far more unplayable...it's a Geistflame that can't surprise them, can't go to the dome, and relies on the opponent. Maybe "worse than Needle Drop" is a better comparison?

There is no "more unplayable". What I'm trying to say is, those ships are harder to gauge than your average card, so maybe someone will be interested in them. Also, I don't really know the format, but we've seen some cards that support them already. Charge, on the other hand, we don't want and no one is going to. We might as well get a card that's maybe a 0 maybe a 0.1 than a card that we know is a 0.

You're "more unplayable" :P

It was a bit of a joke...arguing over cards we're not going to play...but the discussion did give me a potential hint towards evaluating ships outside of their given archetype. "Artifacts with hard to activate abilities" or maybe "Creatures which trade easy to activate abilities for durability...except Strike the Mast exists"

Charge is potentially playable. both tribes we're considering are squarely in centaur territory, and one-mana cantrips aren't bad. the format has some board stall potential, and clearing out their scariest blocker while drawing a card, all for one mana, is pretty sweet.
