I dunno, I rolled someone last night playing a deck similar to this off some welkin terns and amphin pathmages, and it was all because I had a sick low curve.

I don't think we need to saturate our curve at the bottom though, bc you're right the 3-drops in this set are really good.

Actually, looking back, we're not being bad here either! We have 7 board-progressing cards so far that cost 3cmc or lower that are likely to make our final deck of 21 or 22 cards. Good job us! But, yes, one or two good 2-drops would be great, though a couple extra spiders would be insanely good and is even still possible.

Spiders and Mystics would be really good right now. Or things that let us interact with an early board. Double Ulcerate ruined my match 2 in an 8-4. Nothing like Elvish Mystic--> Ulcerate into Elvish Mystic--> Ulcerate into Amphin Pathmage --> Stab Wound to ruin your day.

I'm not sure where Yarium's 7 number comes from (are you counting Haven as board advancing and species as a 3-drop?) but I'm not too worried. looking for more Spiders and Mystics is always good, but I'm not scared yet. Obedience is the only viable option here anyway.

Yeah, is Titanic Growth not in consideration at all? Endless Obedience certainly seems like the pick, but not having played with it, I'm not entirely sold.

Exactly what are we going to draft that causes us to cut garruk? Or play _2_ ambushes?

I think we should hate either ensoul artifact (IF someone is making this deck we basically ruin their draft by taking this) or selfless cathar (which is super annoying, especially in multiples)

so yeah we're not going mono-green, and we're not running two 3-mana fogs. on the other hand, Sliver is not the kind of 2-drop we need. so it's hate time. I'm gonna say Cathar because it's the best on average, but Zenbitz is right about Ensoul being really crucial to anyone making that deck, so I wouldn't be sad about it either.

Ensoul Artifact. Having it come down turn 2-3 on an ornithopter or darksteel citadel would wreck us.
