Pick 5 Divine Verdict? Is this real life? I'd rather take it and splash than grab portent. We have tons of actions already and its a fantastic kill spell.

OOOh..... I really like portent of betrayal in this deck though... especially with oracle of bones and flamespeaker.

Verdict is better but not sure putting random plains in our deck better.

I have absolutely seen late verdicts - they happen when the nearby white player is drafting heroic.

What I like about portent too is how it can activate heroic and can untap your dude too. Clunky but versatile is fine. Also, I don't like splashing without fixing when we have RR in multiple <CMC4 and need UU in CMC 5.
