So everyone has seen this so far except for fel, so I think we are good to go. We can start once MOD makes his picks.

OK, I picked. At some point I should pick some black cards? But I am too lazy to look them up.

Alright guys, this was fun but it is pretty clear that it is over now. This is what I was planning on doing, I am pretty confident that no one else was going to be fighting for the cards I hadn't picked yet.

On pick 7, I decided to move into a mono green beat down deck that was going to splash blue in the sideboard if needed. I think I was able to hide that pretty well, which seems crucial in a draft where everyone can see your picks.

This was my plan:

1 x Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
15 x Forest

1 x Experiment One
1 x Aspect of Hydra
1 x Primal Bellow
1 x Might of Old Krosa

1 x Garruk's Companion
1 x Kalonian Tusker
1 x Strangleroot Geist
1 x Swordwise Centaur
1 x Scavenging Ooze
1 x Avatar of the Resolute
1 x Setessan Tactics
1 x Vines of Vastwood

1 x Eternal Witness
1 x Leatherback Baloth
1 x Dungrove Elder
1 x Reverent Hunter
1 x Call of the Herd
1 x Slaughterhorn

1 x Polukranos, World Eater
1 x Deadbridge Goliath
1 x Wolfbriar Elemental
1 x Vengevine

1 x Thragtusk
1 x Whisperwood Elemental

Sideboard
1 x Breeding Pool
1 x Hinterland Harbor
1 x Thornwood Falls
1 x Reclamation Sage
1 x Garruk Relentless
1 x Acidic Slime
1 x Trygon Predator
1 x Winged Coatl
1 x Skylasher
1 x Wolfir Avenger
1 x Obstinate Baloth
1 x Naturalize
1 x Overwhelming Stampede
1 x Snapcaster Mage

I would have ended up taking what I thought were higher side board cards with my next few picks if we had continued. I am pretty confident that I wouldn't have been fighting for my two drops with anyone so taking them last and a couple other cards that gave my plan away (like Leatherback Baloth) was my plan.

I am not a modern player so I would have used this as an opportunity to play with some cards I haven't yet.

I'm sure that I have too much enchantment hate in my sideboard but I put it together pretty quick. I think there was a good chance that I never boarded in blue, but it seemed fun.

This was fun!

I had no idea what I was doing. I had a list of white cards that seemed could, maybe life-gainy, maybe weenie, maybe control-y.

It may not have been obvious from my picks (I hid it pretty well) but I was actually making a UR Twin deck! Crazy!!

If you do this again might want to put date time stamps on the picks. Then the next person has 24 hours to pick before they get skipped.

That probably would have been nice. But I could also see someone walking away from it the moment they are skipped.

Things like these take the full commitment from everyone, once one person decides to make it wait forever it makes it much more difficult for everyone else. Nothing is fun about checking for a week straight to see if it is your turn to pick.

Still, this was enjoyable overall. I am debating making a budget modern deck now.

How would you go about that? The problem, IMO, is the mana base; unless you go mono-red, where the problem is Eidolon and Blood Moon (i assume you're talking about online).
