Yoke, and cry a little that we took Rakka.

Agree with Yoke... why cry? If we get behind, we can just make 3/1 chump blockers until we cast cruel ultimatum.

I'm just curious. Why are we not even considering Molten Frame? Yoke comes with the normal problems that Aura's come with in regards to Bounce and it's Sorcery Speed, and could be a complete blank in some scenarios. Where as Molten Frame is Instant speed, immediately removes the creature instead of later and will never be a blank card. Even in the rare situation of playing against someone with no artifact creatures we can still cycle it.

Yoke kills almost anything for 2 mana. It has synergy with our sac outlets. If they bounce the creature, we still get a 1-for-1 and a huge tempo gain. And is in one of our main colors.

Frame wont be a removal spell most of the time, and it might even not kill the creature we want. Yoke kills everything it kills and more. Red is our "splash color" right now.

I'm taking Pestilent Kathari here, but I'm on the fence about taking some fixing via the Illusionist or Cylix. How late can we get decent fixing in this format?

Dunno, but not going to risk it. Cylix.

Pestilent is the best thing if we have red
We're splashing red.

If we take it, we may have to rely on last pack borderposts to fix for us. Not willing to do that. Cylix

We can sac it, or use it to trigger the Yoke. It's big.

not my favorite fixing, but fixing, and casting spells is important.

Cylix looks really bad for me. Illusionist at least has a body.

I can't believe the Kathari isn't even in the conversation; a 1/1 deathtouch flier for three mana seems good enough on its own to me, and it has good upside. This is only p2p3, we're not even halfway through the draft yet.

We need fixing way more than we need it.

They're wasting their removal spell in our 1/1? Are you complaining about that?

When it keeps us from casting our spells? Yes.

Sometimes the most backbreaking removal spell isn't the one that hits your bomb, it's the one that hits your mana dork when you took a hand that would have been dubious or worse without said dork.

not every removal spell is doom blade. sometimes they're vithian stinger. or esper battlemage. or stun sniper. and I'd rather my fixing not be collateral damage to jund charm. or blood cultist. then there's jund charm, which just eats it up as collateral damage, taking our fixing with it. and there's a cycled jund sojourner.

and as Tevish points out, if we can't cast our big scary stuff, it doesn't matter that they can't kill it.

Hell, this is a format with Jund Charm, Volcanic Fallout, Jund Sojurners, AND Infest just off the top of my head. that's a lot of sweeping at subrare.
