Actually.. We can't splash it but we coulda get shipped a pile of white combat tricks this pack. I am willing to speculate on phalanx leader. But happy with lash too.

Lash of the Whip. It's solid removal.

Dissolve is not really an important blue spell in this format.

Voyage's end is an amazing card in this format and requires absolutely no EtB effects on your own creatures. You almost never use it on your own stuff. Usually you use it to make auras fall off or to mess up monstrous and heroic. Or just as a tempo play, that's fine too.

sure, so the option to pick up your own creatures is gravy

Phalanx Leader, maybe we splash some white.

~SE++

You don't splash CC 2-drops.

This. It also stops all those sentries we keep passing. Almost forgot about them.

viper's kiss also supports black devotion

I've played 1 march of the returned with positive results
1 because 2 might find an empty graveyard
but that card comes around late
so does viper's kiss

Viper's Kiss... narrowly over March of the Returned, though: that card is a lot more potent than most people seem to give it credit for.

Sentry of the Underworld for a number of reasons. Mainly because I haven't given up on splashing white for a solid evasion creature that regenerates.

I'd rather pick up Viper's Kiss, March, or Fate Foretold on the wheel.

we don't want whoever drafted the heroics we passed to decide to splash black

{if the sentry of the underworld is passed}
whoever drafted the heroics that got passed may decide to splash black.

but most drafters are pretty stubborn about their color choice

I think Sentry of the Underworld. We have a unicorn, we only have a couple blue cards. I never seem to find room in my deck for kiss or march.
