I'd like to have Swerve for the SB but we need any creatures at 3CMC or less we can get right now and Snapper isn't terrible. My pick order is the same as CKY and 64.5.

you know you don't have to block, right?

anyway, I'm with CKY's list. Swerve is neat but I don't really like reactive-only effects in limited. Snapper is a sometimes-evasive body. it's not ideal but hey it's better than **** Outrider.

Rakka Mar looks good, but the color requirements are putting me off a bit. I'm going to pick Drag Down to start a little discussion, because I think those are the two cards we most want out of this pack.

Is Rakka a bomb? Probably, but so red ... Drag is -3/-3 for three, not bad, but not stellar. The little drain evasive guy is solid and dependable. And I remember a combo with bouncing this?

ugh gatherer being down makes this so annoying. I'm not opposed to a three-mana last gasp, but rakka mar wins games. note that the tokens aren't spark elementals: they don't die at eot. and yeah, it costs two red. (ideally 3, but if we can't activate it right away that's probably still ok) but once we get it's just such a value engine.

that said, our only fixing right now is obelisk. that should be a priority right now.

But I'm waffling on Swerve. Swerve can ruin an opponents plans by redirecting removal at their largest threat. But we really do need some usable creatures, so I see why we want the snapper.

There's the Mechanist I was hoping for when I voted for the Strix. But we took Rakka, and we have some black creatures. Bloodhall Ooze. Followed by Cumber Stone, Wordly Counsel, and Bone Saw.
