I have not actually seen it used, but it seems better than missionaries. You could even maindeck if you liked guessing stuff like "Frost Lynx", "Elvish Mystic", "Triplicate Spirits", or "Lightning Strike"

There's just no reason to take the Missionaries. Black's got two common 5-drops that are both singularly better than it anyway (just compare Tireless Missionaries to Rotfeaster Maggot). And as has been pointed out, Stain can be pretty strong situational removal for SB. I would have loved to have had it against the guy who picked up two Scuttling Doom Engines.

I'm thinking Lightning Strike, but I could be dissuaded.

Feel like Feral Invocation might be more relevant in this deck...
But wouldn't mind the strike.

This isn't the green draft. Lightning Strike.

I'd rather have carrion crow to give us another earlier flier, or marked by honor to boost our turn 2-3 creatures into the mid game.

This is a tough pick. The white is sort of irrelevant, although I guess the giant AND the mark would be ok in a clunky sort of way.
Crow is fine. Child is a little underwhemling for P2P1.

We got some playable red late... and strike is just by far the best card in the pack. Be on the look out for Evolving wilds!

EDIT: I forgot about Avacyn and triple white. Changing my vote to crow.

Strike. The cheap creatures will be there in a future pick.

I don't know how we're planning to include Avacyn, FtD AND a splash in our deck. Crow for me.
