Skywing for me. Another madness enabler and can avoid most removal (also in the late game turns each surplus land into a potential fog for your opponents biggest non-trample creature). There is much better removal in .

Really? In VMA? What, exactly, would that be? Counterspell? That is strictly worse. So is Provoke. I can't think of anything else.

Well the best is clearly Control Magic and JTMS

Aside from that you have tempo plays such as Aether Mutation (which is a bomb in my opinion), rescind, repel, temporal fissure (this annihilated me in one game).

Then there are the counterspells (of which there are many)

In my opinion is about tempo and a 6 mana removal spells is absolutely not where it is at.
