Hating is bad. I think I'd be happy if somebody played Syphon Soul instead of a card that matters.

Agreed although I was going to take roots of life until I saw the other goblin cards. But man these are all blanks.

Beside the fact that we're not in red River is amazeballs.

that seems a bit premature. we've got a bomb in each color.

anyway here it's clearly vault, right? that sort of acceleration is nuts.

Mana Vault

Werewolves are meh in this format, I still don't know why we picked that card. Turns out when you have the entirety of magic at your hands it's easy to cast spells every turn.

By timewalking yourself in a format with the best spells ever printed, yes.

By timewalking yourself in a format with the best spells ever printed, yes.

ah yes, the legendary power of heap doll, sword dancer, delraich, stomper cub, tithe drinker, whirling dervish, aspect of gorgon, vitaspore thallid, and circle of protection: green. truly an array of dizzying might.

there's some great cards around, but this isn't cube. there's a lot of crap too.

There's still removal, and it turns out a 3/2 is easy to remove in pretty much every format. It's certainly a lot worse than "I win" cards like overrun, but I think you agreed with me p1p1.

yeah, I wanted the overrun. it was the better pick. but we have the shaman, so our strategy from here on out should acknowledge that. I'm not sold on WR, but we don't have much tying us to WG either. it's premature to declare ourselves in one or the other. pretty much our only green is the slime. Wrap is fine, but our supporting red (Immolation and River) is better, even if Slime is better than Shaman.

I agree with all this. Really, I think we're forcing hard white at this point, especially because river becomes significantly better if we manage to get several white flyers.

It seems like a turn 4 Zenith for 3 would be pretty good, so mana vault.
