To me, you evaluate heroic creatures as if you'll target them once; a 3/2 two-drop that can potentially shrink a defender is a pretty good deal. A 2/3 three-drop that revives one little guy isn't as good in a vacuum, IMO. Yes we have targets and enablers, but it's still pretty early. If we didn't have Macar I wouldn't start picking black, but we do have him so we should pick with that in mind.

I'm going to play Jman's role in this thread if we start seeing a bunch of good black cards from hereon out.

Is my role "crazy crackpot who says we should keep forcing something silly"? Because if it is, I like that role.

No one can do that better than you. Where's our Cube draft?

Was holding off until I made my changes for JOU. Still not sure if I want to run Keranos or not. Only thing I am 100% on is Mana Confluence.

Oh, and pick is Grovedancer. I see no reason not to just play mono-bears right now.

Keranos is awesome, but I don't know your Cube.

Grovedancer. The shenanigans with priest can't be overlooked. 2 mana for a 1/1 and a +1/+1 counter isn't bad, but knowing you could do it 2 or 3 times in a game.

Unpowered, about... 550? I think? I know what I want to add, but haven't cut anything yet. And some the stuff is off balance simply because I don't own the cards yet.

For example, I'm reeealy tempted to get a foil Richard Garfield for the cube that's at my LGS.

Gold-forged Sentinel

I was hoping that will wheel. What do we do with all that Hind mana? Cast the Sentinel. The white and green bear are OK, but I'd like the artifact that can block and kill blue fliers all day long.

I feel as though Harvester is more useful.
It'll let one creature attack with impunity the turn it comes down, but Oakheart doesn't guarantee even that.

Oakheart. +1/+1 can be huge.

But a lot of the time they can just block it with something bigger.

Oakheart is a better card.

Neither is very useful to us yet. Fingers crossed. Oak is the better call in this case though.

Harvestguard plays really nicely with Inspired creatures, but so far we're on the Heroic path; I think the pick is Oakheart Dryads.

I don't really care. I think harvest guard is a little better for us, but we've much more in green than in white. If we open a bomb in Born, it's white we've dropping.

Oakheart.
