I'm going to go ahead and start up the 3rd Journey into Nyx draft.

This will be a full block one.

Did anyone see the article by the guy who came (I think) 14th in the Pro Tour. P1p1 of the draft, opens Ajani takes Scryfish.

That said, it's the clear pick here, which is a little bit of a shame as I was hoping for a quirky build.

Better question. If you couldn't take Ajani what would you take. I think there are 4 good options each of which would take a draft in a different direction.

I would first-pick Feast of Dreams in this format out of a lot of packs, but a PWer is just too spicy to pass.

I'm noting that because this is a decent pack and it's still first pick we have a chance to wheel that Ravenous (thing).

This pack could potentially wheel:

Ravenous Leucrocota
Pin to the Earth
Font of Fertility
Rouse the Mob
Oppressive Rays
Cruel Feeding

Of which Ravenous is good and oppressive is a potential playable depending on build. It's also possible that one of our Ajani colors is a splash. I'm on the look out for a nice blue card in the next pack, because we may see Pin to the Earth from this pack and that card is solid.

I would actually avoid taking any of the Black cards here. Let the people on my side fight for them. Picking Priest gets bonus points for basically cutting White, so that's my answer.

Ajani.

Other than that, I'd pick the War-Wing, and the Crota next, cutting green. Green is just the best color to draft in full block, and if it is even remotely open, you should go for it.
