I am worried that since I have not drafted this set much, if I go heroics I am going to screw myself by messing up the Hero/Enabler ratio.
That being said, Battlewise Hoplite seems quite good. I also like the Insaitable Harpy aka "strictly worse vampire nighthawk" looks pretty decent too.

Tormented Hero ... seems great in BR aggro and useless otherwise,

There are 10 possible color combinations. Hero fits in 4 of them. Hoplite fits in 1 of them. Take the hero.

There's 26, but only 10 are good ideas.

Is Tormented Hero really that good? I guess a 2/1 first turn drop for black is efficient and the ability a decent bonus you can maybe end up abusing (Theros is still really new and weird to me) and nothing else really jumps out from the pack. If it was me irl staring at this pack thinking I'd probably pick out the land or hell, the Chimera.

Tormented Hero is OK. On turn 1. It's not that good any turn after turn 3. That whole "I'm emo so I come into play tapped" makes it a terrible top deck.

Harpy. Evasion and lifelink are relevant. There are so many black cards in the pack one of them is bound to wheel.

I like the Hoplite's ability, but I feel like going heroic in UW is tough because the blue heroic creatures don't seem all that good.
