Black had little depth. I will not play master of the feast in limited. And doomwake giant didn't have a lot of enchantments to play with, white was an army of 2 drops, green was low on playables, red had the most playables but nothing that stood out. No monstrous, no burn, nothing to power fanatic of mogis. Blue was low on creatures. The entire pool has 3 removal cards. Eye gouge, lightning diadem and flamecast wheel. Bestow is very abscent here. Green has one, red has one, blue has one, white has none. Black has one, which you often won't want to play.

I would've played BR and posed as an aggressive deck, but really a stall deck to get to my huge bombs onto the battlefield. Dictate of Erebos could totally blow your opponent out; Abhorrent Overlord just takes over games; 5 mana for a 4/6 with upside is sweet. Something like:

Something like that. Sure, it's a tad bloated, but it's not terrible, and it has game during every point of the game.

Red is the only color that I want to play, but I did miss Dictate of Erebos.

I can't play 2 rotted hulk though.

Hulk is like super amaze balls at slowing games down that want to play seven drops. And they wear bestow well too! But to each their own.

You know, it's better than I thought. I thought it was Cmc 5.

Oh I'm a fan of hulk too. 2/4 is a pivotal p/t combination in limited. Though there isn't much to bestow him.

No clue what you would have played, but I would have just left. Picking a color, then not getting to play that color, is one of the reasons I hate pre-releases.

Of course, if that weren't an option, I'd play blue/red.

1 x hubris (didn't like the card, but I quickly came to the conclusion that I HAD to play it. And it did save my butt twice)

Believe it or not, I went 3-1 with this. Made a single misplay among every game. Attacking with it was fun though.

Opponent: I block this guy.
Me: Unblockable
Opponent: Alright I'll block this one.
Me: intimidate
Opponent:That one flies right?
me: Yes.
Opponent: What can I block?
Me: Mmm.... nothing

Hour of need is pretty good when you can always alpha strike for garanteed damage before getting your tokens. No one sees it coming since I attack with everything all the time anyay. This was pretty much a tempo deck. My opponents quickly wised up and checked the clock. And then flurry of horns screwed the math (they rarely had reasons to leave blockers up) Oh yeah, and I got to use hubris to take back my triton and lightning diadem.

The deck was definitely not very good. But it was the best I could do. And at least it was fun to play.

I feel good about myself for being able to determine the correct color.
